Clothed Pics

Just wanted to add some pics in clothes. I wear a size 6 jeans as reference. I like that in some clothes they look really big (tight tank), or can look pretty average in others (loose black sweater).

3+ Weeks Post Op

Things have been going really well! Still some mild discomfort around the edges of my breasts, but not even worth taking Tylenol for. At 2 weeks I was cleared for side sleeping which was a relief! I have to wear the front snap bra to bed for 3 months. I wasn’t given any massages or other special instructions.

At 3 weeks I could wear any type of supportive wire-free bra. I have bought and returned more bras trying to find one I liked! I had a Victoria’s Secret giftcard and tried to go in there for something, they don’t have my size in anything wirefree. I am currently measuring a 32DDDD(G), or 34DDD(F). They aren’t huge my any means and no one would look at me and think “That lady has big boobs!”. I think most of the time I look like what people would call a big C. Also went to Soma, they also only have wirefree in my size online. I finally bought some at Kohls that aren’t the right size, but weren’t too expensive so I won’t mind tossing them if I fluff out of them. My boobs have softened up a good bit, but they still hold their shape right now so I don’t need a super great fitting bra for the support.

I have some settling to do obviously. I can use my chest muscles without much trouble now. A few things that I wasn’t expecting to be as hard as they were for the first couple weeks: soap pumps and wiping counters off. That downward pressing motion was really hard!

Right now I am really happy with the size. Sometime I think I could have gone bigger, but then I remember how hard it is to find a bra that fits now...and any bigger it would be nearly impossible! I think my goal of bigger, not BIG was accomplished. They are easy to hide, don’t make a scene but I can wear something lower cut and show some cleavage if I want. My hubby also approves. Ha!

Cleared for the gym on Friday! Can’t wait to get back. I’m not going to be lifting weights any time soon. Going to start with spin and maybe some Pilates or yoga, modifying anything that’s too hard on my chest.

Post Op Day 10

This week has been a whirlwind! Overall I have felt pretty good starting at 1 day post op. I was able to shower, shave (cautiously), even went to the movies that day. Things that have been difficult: using a soap pump, wiping down counters, shaving my underarms, sleeping on my back. The sleeping has been the worst. Hopefully I get cleared to side sleep soon. I have been wearing my fruit of the loom front hook bra 24/7 except to shower.

As far as my boobs go...they are starting to settle a little bit. The muscle is starting to relax, so I have less fullness up top. The muscle area near my arm pit is so sore from stretching I guess. I still have tape over my incisions. My first post op visit is on Tuesday. I should get the tape off then and possibly some new bra and activity level guidelines.

Currently measuring at 32 underbust, 39 bust. That is a 3" increase in fullest bust measurement so far. I have been out a few times in my neighborhood and out to dinner and a party with friends. I wore loose clothes and it wasn't super obvious to anyone. I went from a 34C to a measuring 34DD currently, and they aren't hard to cover up at all. When I put on something form fitting they are definitely more vavavoom.

I will update again after my appointment on Tuesday. Anxious to see what the incisions look like.
