I have always held all my weight right on my...

I have always held all my weight right on my stomach. I got down to 10% body fat through vigorous exercise and dieting once, and still had no visible abdominal muscles.

I really wanted to be able to sit down on the edge of a pool and not have a stomach roll showing.

I'd long talked about getting it done, and after I had the money, my wife suggested we finally go ahead and get it done.

Update: More information

I posted the original review from my phone, so I didn't have time to update very thoroughly.

I had a compression garment ordered for me by First Coast Plastic Surgery, and the garment goes all the way up around your ribs and then comes down through the crotch, with the bottom half resembling a speedo bathing suit. I managed to wear that thing for little more than a week before I asked Dr. Csikai if I could cut the bottom half off. It was constantly making me adjust it, it made going to pee a hassle, and it was always making me feel "squished" down below. He said that was fine.

I was MUCH more comfortable after doing that, but when transitioning from sitting to standing quite often (as you would in an office job), that made the top part want to slide down and the bottom part want to roll up, so adjusting it was necessary more often. I found that wrapping a regular velcro binder around it made it much more comfortable.

Wearing the compression garment is REALLY the most annoying part of this whole ordeal. The actual pain is only for a day or two, and then your stomach is just kind of sore after that for a couple weeks. You have to massage, massage, massage. I've been pretty lazy about it and after 2 months I'm still pretty firm around my belly button.

Even being 2 months out, although I think I look great, the doctor says I'll still continue to "shrink in" a little bit over the next 2 months.

Males be aware, during that first week, as the trauma fades and all that bruising drains...it drains ...down. I was very black and blue over the top half of my penis and scrotum and around my pubic area (as well as up my sides and back). Don't be alarmed. It doesn't hurt, but it does look crazy to see your genitals be black and blue like that. I'll try and add a picture of that later.

Liposuction is worth it in my opinion. You're very sore for maybe 2 days, a little sore for maybe 2 weeks, and the rest of the time is just wearing that stupid compression garment and waiting for the swelling to go down. Occupy yourself by working on your diet and focusing on losing some additional weight so you look as good as you want to look when it's all over.

After 2 months, the doctor said I didn't need to wear the garment any longer. So now it's basically over, and is just a matter of me taking care of myself weight-wise so that the results stay looking good. I was expecting a 4 month recovery, but supposedly it'll be just a gradual reduction in swelling from here. I don't feel swollen though, and at this point I feel like I look pretty lean.

I still can't see a 6 pack, but that's a diet issue and I'm working on it.

Dr. Csikai was very upfront with me about what to expect, and he was friendly and encouraging. He's a very matter of fact type of doctor, and he scheduled me for follow-ups every few weeks to track my progress.
