Hi everyone! My name is Amber. I'm a 23 year old mother of 2 who just moved to Jacksonville, FL from Seattle, WA. I'm scheduled to have my lift/augmentation on April 17th. I had my pre-op appointment yesterday, and chose 450cc. I'm also getting an areola/nipple reduction. I chose to get this procedure after 5 months of thinking about it. I've had two children (breastfed both) and lost over 50lbs in the last year so needless to say my girls are a bit deflated. Basically I'm just looking for some women to talk to about recovery!

Congrats!! I'm two years post op vertical lift with 400 cc silicone unders. My recovery was no where near as bad as I had mentally prepared myself for. What size implant are you getting? What kind of lift? Over or under muscle?

I'm also getting a vertical lift, 420cc r and 450 l, under the muscle. Oh and saline moderate plus. I'm really nervous. Now I'm second guessing my sizes I chose! And just obsessing over the entire procedure. What size were you before your lift?? And that's great to hear it wasn't as bad as you mentally prepared for!! I hope I have the same experience :)

I was not very big before. A very saggy b maybe c cup depending on bra. I'm a dd in Victoria's Secret now. I hadn't really planned on going that big but I have broad shoulders most people don't think I'm a dd, just goes to show how little cup size means. Why do you think you may be choosing wrong size? Definitely hope your recovery is as easy as mine. The worst part for me was being nauseous from the anesthesia. I was definitely sore for a couple days from the muscle stretching but nothing too bad. I stopped taking my prescription pain meds two days after surgery and was able to cook dinner the night after surgery. Not being able to pick up my kids for two weeks was tough my little guy was only 9 months old but luckily I had a ton of help from family. I would do it again in a heartbeat

Honestly my biggest concern is the risk of looking "top heavy"... I recently lost a lot of weight and the last thing I want is to make myself look heavy again. But today I realized I'm just overthinking it, I made it really clear to my surgeon I want what's proportional to my body. I also have broad shoulders. When I tried on sizes during my pre-op I chose the 420-450 cc's because I like how they look but for some reason I just keep picturing giant saggy boobs. So I called the office today and sent them some pictures of how I want my chest to look, and I feel a lot better about it now. Your recovery process sounds great! I hope I get lucky enough to have the same experience. I'm also worried about not being able to pick up my kids but I keep reminding myself it's only for a few weeks.

I'm sure you will look great. Sometimes I feel like with my chest being bigger my waist actually looks smaller, especially if I'm wearing something fitted. And just wait til you put your first bathing suit on!! Exciting!! Best of luck I will look for your updates on your recovery!!

Thanks for sharing your story. I hope you'll find all the support you need as you begin your journey. May I suggest checking in your surgery date on this calendar? That way you can easily find other members getting their procedures done around the same time.

5 days until my procedure and I'm freaking out. I feel like I'm nesting again haha. Cleaning everything, making sure everything is done before I'm temporarily immobile. Still obsessing over the size/frantically trying to find pictures of what I want but I think it'll all turn out alright.

I picked up my prescriptions last night. Just in case anyone was wondering- I only paid $14. I have Tricare standard, and was prescribed three different medications for post-op.
