Most horrible experience of my life..I was reassured I was perfect candidate for this fat xfer to face..do on thurs..back to work on mon..had fat harvested frm thigh and nxt thing u no dr Garcia is walking in wth this gigantic needle-I was not given any type of meds to relax me. I just felt my body go stiff as I braced myself. Well I swoll up like the elephant woman..beyond recognition. I drove myself home with instructions to ice and my 12 year old started crying when he saw me and was inconsolable. The office did not once call to chk on me. I was petrified tht my face would not return to normal. .I was out of work for almost 2 mths and thankfully bck to normal in abt 4..I just wanted nothing to do with tht office or dr so I did not call them or anything but whn I saw this page. .I tght wht better furom to
tell my story. The transfer did not take even a little bit and I am still repaying the 6000 loan tht I took out. This dr seems to b jack of all trades..master of none..

I appreciate all feedback - positive, negative or neutral - as it guides my understanding of my patients' experiences. Unfortunately, every once in a while, I come across online depictions of alleged patient experiences that contradict the policies and protocols of my practice and the recollection of my staff. This review appears to be one such instance, and leads me to believe that the author could not have been treated at my practice. Nonetheless, I am glad for the opportunity to correct the stated misconceptions.

Every one of my patients is educated extensively regarding the risks, benefits and likely outcomes of recommended procedure(s). During consultation, patients are also informed in detail regarding what to expect during the procedure(s) and during the recovery stage. The presentation covers the type of anesthesia to be used in the recommended procedure(s). Prior to the start of any surgical procedure (before anesthesia is administered), every surgical patient signs an informed consent document signifying the patient's understanding of the procedure that is about to take place, and permission to move forward.

It is important to note that no fat transfer procedures take place without the use of an anesthetic. Furthermore, swelling following the procedure is an expected side effect. Lastly, the fee for a facial fat transfer cited by the author ($6,000) is inconsistent with our pricing guidelines.

I find that the best results are achieved within the bounds of a trusting patient-doctor relationship. The patient trusts that the surgeon will utilize his expertise and best efforts to accomplish the desired outcome. The surgeon, in turn, trusts that the patient will follow the prescribed follow-up care instructions to ensure the best possible results.

My goal is to provide the aesthetic results my patients desire, and I am successful in an overwhelming majority of the cases. With that said, it is infinitely more challenging to achieve the best possible surgical results when/if the patient fails to follow post-operative instructions and/or present for follow-up appointments.

Absolutely I was a patient in ur office with copy of money order books, pamplets and bag tht you give to patients before survery as proof. You did give a similiar shot in the gums like dentists do BUT i felt everything..So let's not go there! !!if u r able to wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and feel good about yourself then i'm good with it.

Sorry you had this horrible surgery. Dr. Coleman is really good with fat transfers. I had good result with him.

The downtime for facial fat transfer is a minimum of 2 weeks! That is a major red flag if you ever hear anything less than that. It is probably good that none of the fat survived, since it was a botched job.

The downtime of facial fat transfer is not two weeks. I had fat transfer with Dr. Coleman and there's no way two weeks you are looking normal! I feel bad for her as I was botched really bad by Revis and its a horrible experience. it would be nice to see some pictures.

Correct, usually much longer than 2 weeks for sure.

It was BAD and in all honesty, taking pics didn't even cross my mind. I never even went back into that office and my hairdresser who recommended me couldn't believe the outcome however and pushed me to go have him fix it but i refused..anyway water under the bridge. I did go to Costa Rica in May and have work done with the Wonderful Dr Arquello and documented tht journey. Very very happy! ! Thanks for your input..

I kind of have to question the author's experience as a truly educated one if she can't spell or form proper sentences. Sorry, calling it how I see it, and the surgeon's response was classy and tasteful and he is able to provide proof which contradicts many of her points.
