I am almost 1 month post-op(tuesday will be 1 month)! I have waited for this for years. Lots of discomfort and severe neck pain. Bulging disc in neck that stayed flared up and stiff. Constant headaches. Went to several doctors for treatment/test to at the end being told that getting the weight from my chest off would be the only relief without multiple meds on a daily basis, which i was sick of. Could not get insurance to pay (crappy) so i couldnt afford til i saved up!! Best thing ive ever done for myself and my family!! The first week after surgery was tough, im not gonna lie!! But after the first week had passed i could say that the money and pain was worth it. Im still uncomfortable and sleeping still sucks but im happy i did it!! Its only been a month and my incisions are closed up and i am healing well. I have only done scar massage as a form of helping the scars to smooth out. My right breast is looking great whereas my left is rather odd looking and does not look the same as my right but im not gonna sweat that.....still look much better than before with the perk of well.....i dont know because ive never been this perky!!! Ha I go for another check up June 16th i believe so i will post an update then!! Oh and also my right breast has nipple sensation...more than ever before and i cannot feel the left so we will see at dr apt what we are going to do about it. Honestly, i had rather not have the feeling in the right as it gets hard and get pretty out there if u know what i mean and its not pretty to me!! Also the intense sensation kinda hurts this close out from surgery. Anyway, i have kept up with pictures from pre-op til now that i am posting. See yall in 2 weeks!!!

Congrats! Do you know how many grams were removed per breast?

Why didn't your insurance pay?

My insurance also isn't paying. It's bobs of Illinois and they base it solely on height/weight (BMI) and grams removed. I'd basically need a mastectomy to qualify.

How are the looking now? Not a lot of people post after they “drop” and mine look very similar to your before pic. My surgery is nov 7 and it coming so fast! Thanks!
