WORTH IT
5 weeks ago: Areas treated: Upper abdomen, lower abdomen, right and left 'love handles ', inner thighs- all treated in just a few hours. I'm 5'9", 165 lb female, 38 yrs old.
I had liposuction in Calidornia about 5 years ago and extremely disappointed in the results. So I heard about Coolsculpting from a friend who highly recommended Dr Mitchell at Mon Ami spa in Madison Ms.
The whole procedure was easy and even relaxing. The spa is set up with a Tv in the treatment room and comfortable surroundings. During the visit everyone explained what to expect during and afterwards. I felt well informed and they welcomed my questions.
The machine just feels like a big cold suction cup on the body. That's it. And then you just lay there and relax for about an hour while the machine freezes your fat. I watched tv, read a book and even fell asleep. Afterwards, the machine is removed and the frozen area is massaged. This feels "odd ", but nothing intolerable at all. I wouldn't call it painful either- it's just kind of a weird feeling. That only lasts about 1-2 minutes anyway.
The first many days there was mild soreness and swelling in the areas treated, much like a bruised feeling. A little numb too. All which was explained and what I learned from my research. It was nothing at all like the pain from my liposuction years ago. This Coolsculpting is a breeze compared to any other medical procedures I've ever had. i was back to work the very next day and had no problems.
FIVE WEEK UPDATE: Oh my god. My stomach areas are almost completely flat! It seems like I just woke up this morning and my stomach fat is gone. I've never seen my stomach flat. This is unbelievable. I am so excited to see the results in the full 3 months. I will do this on every part of my body. This is best thing I've ever done, besides my breast augmentation.
I will post photos soon.

Admittedly I shouldn't have said my stomach is already "completely flat" at my 5-week point, but it's as flat as I've ever seen my own belly! I was just so excited when I wrote the update and had just seen my new, work in progress, stomach :) lol (photos soon I promise)

This was very helpful for me, as I'm to thinking of getting this treatment on my muffin top, and didn't want a tummy tuck done. So thanks for the info....

Glad I could help. I am beyond ecstatic with the results and would do it again in a heartbeat. I will never do liposuction again now that these new technologies exist. And I wouldn't do a real surgery for body shaping either.

Thanks for the positive way you approached this. I'm going the morning and a little nervous from some of the reviews but this was very helpful!

I've had my second treatments done a few weeks ago and the results are worth every tiny little tingle. is it cold? Yes. Does it feel weird during the massage? Yes. But no worse than laser hair removal, deep tissue massage or a clipped cuticle during a pedicure. I would ensure much worse for the results that I've had and I will absolutely do it again and again if necessary. Hope you have a great experience!!! Are you going to the same doctor as I did?

Goodmorning! Quick question I'm having this procedure done very soon... Did you have any stretch marks and if so, how did it respond to that area??? Because your results look great to me!!!

I don't have many stretch marks in the areas that were treated so I can't fully comment. But I'm guessing they would tighten along with the other skin. I had stretch marks on my hips and knees before I had liposuction and they definitely were reduced after lipo. Best wishes on your procedure! Keep me posted.

Sorry for the bad iPhone photo but I wanted to post a pic regardless. Hopefully you can see the difference. I also just realized that I didn't take body measurements before and I wish I had. The photo doesn't really do justice to the actual size reduction.

Thanks for sharing- your review is very informative. Do you have any before and after pics we could see?
