Three and a half years ago I thought it'd be a good idea to get breast implants. Why? I have no idea. I was in a horrible relationship with a guy that expected me to work out daily, cook for him, clean for him, etc. I was supposed to be a robot. He made me feel like I had to be perfect. So when a friend of mine got a boob job, I decided to too. It was very impulsive. My boobs were perfectly fine before. So much that the plastic surgeon even told me the surgery wasn't necessary. I insisted, and he told me he would put the minimum amount just to round them off at the tops. I went into surgery thinking I was only getting 200cc tops, I came out with 375cc on each side. They were HUGE.

Since then I have had a kid and they've gotten even bigger from that. Not only are they bigger, they're much less perky and super saggy. I can't even wear bras from Victoria's secret anymore. I have to wear 36DD full coverage bras. Grandma bras.

I want them out immediately! They are so heavy and I feel like every day they are causing my skin to be more and more stretched out!! They're getting lower and lower!!

My surgery is in 2 days! On Tuesday the 29th I'm going in at noon for a breast implant removal with local anesthesia and I could NOT be more excited! I've been warned that they're going to be SUPER flat at first. I'm okay with that. I hate them SO much I would rather be flat forever than have them on my chest for another day. I'm so ready to wear cute clothes again without looking 30 pounds heavier than I am. I'm ready to feel proportionate again!

Good luck on your explant. I'm sure you'll look great and I really doubt you'll be flat. Looking forward to hearing about your results!

Bless your heart! Congratulations, for not only understanding WHY you had the implants put in, but for courage to get them OUT! Mine will be removed on August 13. I can hardly wait, as well.. I will love hearing your updates afterward.. Best to you!

Good for you! I had mine removed under a local in the PS office. He gave me a Xanax 30 minutes prior to help me relax - be sure and get one so you're not all tensed up. It's a little messy because of the saline when he drains them but there really wasn't any pain at all. You might ask him if he feels confident that the capsule or scar tissue will dissipate on its own. Mine didn't and I am saving to have them removed. :( However, knowing my luck, I am sure I am the 1 out of 10,000 women this happens too!

Surgery - CHECK!

I had my surgery today. It was SO simple and easy. I went in and he basically stabbed me with a big needle and connected it to suction to drain the saline on both sides to make the implants smaller and easier to get them out with small incisions. Then he injected lidocaine, made the incision, and pulled the implant out. It actually tickled! It felt really weird and I felt no pain on the right side. I did feel a little bit of pain and pulling on the left side but it only lasted a second. Then he stitched me up and let me go. I walked out with a HUGE smile on my face!

I haven't felt much pain. I did start feeling achey around my incisions a couple hours ago so I took a pain killer, but I'm back to no pain. I've even been able to pick up my 20 lb baby girl!

I'm so so happy I did it. I could not be happier. They are very flat and pancake-like right now... But they look much better than I had expected and they can only get better!

Pictures coming soon!

Please who can help me : I am going to remove my breast implants after 5 years and these stories like above sound so easy....but...my PC tells me it is necessary ALWAYS to remove the capsul (otherwise it will harden after a few years and the patient has to come back for another surgery - the capsel will not vanish and will cause problems afterwords (I don't want to scare anyone!! some PC's say it is to dangerous to take it out, especially when the implants are after the musscle (in my case) but even so, they must be taken out as good as possible... : HAS ANYONE HAS AN EXPERIENCE WITH THIS OR WANTS TO ASK HIS CHURGION ABOUT THIS??) Thanks, Ilse from Belgium

My plastic surgeon said that some plastic surgeons believe you should always remove the capsule but he doesn't feel that it's necessary and he wouldn't remove them on his own wife if she got her implants removed, so I went by that.

Every surgeon has a different opinion on this topic. I am having a hard time deciding myself on whether to get the capsule removed. The most recent doctor I went to believes that if the capsule is THIN enough, the body and reasorb it. It it is very thick however it does need to be removed. An experienced doctor should be able to tell through thorough examination.

I had surgery yesterday and I went back to work today! I must be crazy... But it wasn't so bad. I wasn't able to reach high or lift much weight, but other than that everything was fine! I'm a nurse so I'm constantly busy at work, but I got through it!

My main hasn't been bad at all. I took Tylenol early this morning and ibuprofen around lunch time. I didn't take anything after that.

My boobs look scary droopy. I hope they start perking up soon. Especially because I'm in a wedding this weekend. :-/
