My procedure is in 2 weeks and 5 days and I'm really starting to get nervous. I have wanted this for 13 years (since my oldest was born) and know I will be happy but I also know the pain will be torture! I don't have many people to speak with who have had this done so I'm going off of my own research. The one lady I've spoken is scaring the mess out of me and keeps tell me not to do it but loves her tummy tuck but yet regrets it :(. I've already had a breast augmentation with implants and lift last August because, lets face it, having kiddos really worked them over. I gained a lot of weight during both pregnancies and got horrible stretch marks all over my abdomen and even tore my lower muscles while pushing. I've worked incredibly hard to lose the weight while battling thyroid issues and keep it off. Now the loose skin hangs there and I have to buy pants two sizes bigger just so it won't pinch and be uncomfortable and dresses are out of the question bc it's just gross looking on me. Plus when I try on bathing suits I look like a wrinkled old woman from my abdomen to my hips. I'm tired of looking young in the face and I have an 80year old body. I just hope I will be okay in recovery and pray it won't be as bad as I've been told. Two weeks and five days and counting. Pre-op on Monday.

I'm 12 days post op and doing fantastic! I was scared of the recovery after reading some of the reviews on here as well, BUT don't believe all of it. Honestly I haven't had a hard time at all. I stayed up on my pain meds until day 4 but honestly probably could have come off them sooner. I'm only taking 1 pill at night before bed and not even tylonel or Advil during the day. If you have a good surgeon, you will be amazed at how fast you feel better. Order you a Bonito compression garment, totally saved my bacon! I ordered the size that fit me pre surgery. The #4006 allows for the drain tubes to come out the pelvic area ( if that is where your surgeon puts them) and I have been healing so nice and smoothly. I am wearing jeans today. Still have 1 drain left but I'm able to wear one of my "bigger" jeans. I love my new shape! It's amazing how much better I love myself with the pooch gone. A million times worth it. Btw the drain removal was a piece of cake, could not even feel it. Good luck!

Thank you so much for this boost of confidence! I've been making myself sick over it but I don't want to back out because I've saved for many years! I have never heard of that compression garment before but I'm definitely looking them up now. I do know he's sending me home in one. Do you wear the one you bought now? Did you wear that one home from the hospital or did your surgeon put you in a different one? Sorry for the questions! Lol! I have about 7+ pounds of excess skin to remove and I'm ready!

My surgeon put me in the "traditional binder" I put myself in the first Bonito #4006 garment on the 3rd day. I'm 5'2" 164 lbs and mine is an extra large. I'm 14 days post op and still wearing it, almost down to the large but not quite. Good luck!!!

Oh my! Nerves are weighing in. People won't stop with the negative comments. Most are trying to get me to back out by telling me horrible things and none of them have had this procedure; except one person. I know what I want and yes I'm nervous but I've dealt with a squishy, stretched out torso for 13 years. Im not looking to be a model, I just want to be comfortable in my own skin again. That's all! I keep getting told the permanent sutures they put in to fix your muscles will break down and cause serious problems over the years. If I gain weight I'll tear something or the sutures will pop. Anxiety is through the freaking roof!

Take a deep breath and let it out. You will be just fine. If you have a great plastic surgeon you will do just fine. I'm so grateful I took the plunge and did it! Every single day I get better and better.

I keep reading that everywhere. Every post, here and other places, say that they are very pleased too. Thank you.

Well I go in this Wednesday (06/07/17) for my tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo on flanks. I'm still nervous but excited. Did anyone buy and wear anti-embolism compression stockings as a precaution during recovery? I have a HUGE fear of blood clots!
