I had TT and Lipo on 1 June 12, it's 3 June now and I feel pretty good today. Finally checked out of the hospital and back to the apartment at lunchtime. Kent Hospital was great, very very clean, staff friendly and knowledgable. Only complaint is the food SUCKED. I was only given soup for 2 days and consistency was like baby food. I had the lady helping me get some instant soup at the supermarket, much better!!

Day 4 or 5 PO, I lose count. I'm off painkillers and just taking Tylenol. Looking forward to seeing how everything looks today at follow up. I can't wait to take a shower, I have to wait 7 days!!

I am here at the Revitalize villa in Izmir at the moment.. And feeling very much out on a limb. They had not told me all the hospital & dental staff would be on holiday between 26th Dec & 2nd Jan. The villa is tucked away amongst other houses along a rubbled road.. a little daunting to arrive in the dead of night, a solo female traveler. Was told everyone spoke English..not quite - Driver spoke not a word. First shock was to find out that there was only two bathrooms.. This villa has the capacity for eight recuperating ladies..All needing to share the two bathrooms with the live in staff. Am just happy there were only three others at the time I have been here. But most of all, the food is SHOCKING. My meal on arrival had been cooked 4hrs previously, left out and then nuked within an inch!.. Totally inedible. The following day I went for my dental surgery which included extractions & stitching.. my evening meal was a Chicken leg, over cooked carrots and unflavored mash...But hey, I was told just eat mash!!! I have to say at this point everyone was up in arms and for a couple of days it improved, only to fall flat on its face again after the villa cook started cooking again.Sunday lunch today is over cooked veg & some sort of semolina..on one plate! No meat, no fish, no nothing! Horrid! Come for surgery but stay well away from the villa..Nearly £400 for the week....YOU HAVE GOT TO BE JOKING

Been there done it and checked out , got moved to service apt with supermarket underneath,,, pure amazing ,,,,,,,,,, go for it

I stayed at the villa and teona was amazing, yes the food wasn't great but I spent time on my own in the apartment and also with others at the villa, if id have been on the apartment the while time it would've been so isolating, lonely and boring, There are also 5 bedrooms for patients not 8, and it was full when I was there and never once had to wait for a bathroom, I do agree though that although the driver is lovely, as a single female arriving in a strange place it would've been much less intimidating or nerve racking if he spoke a little bit of English!

I agree 5 beds but sleeps 8.... One bonus to being in service apartment is not having to listen to moans and groans of patients complaining about other people, pain and just plain bitching about life.... The usual thing that a bunch of girls do when they get together.

The most important thing of all is the surgery !!!!!!!!! If the complaint was the other way round !! How shocking would we all be

I can't comment we I own a house in nearby Kusadasi and that is were I recovered but everything else was perfect , must say the only person I came across with no English was the driver but he is a lovely man

I stayed in the apartments, much better. I did have to get my own food from next door market but hotel staff was willing to go for me and spoke enough English. Can you move to apartments??

Finally got around to loading a few new pictures and a couple of my bruises. They are finally fading but still...OW. I have some abdominal area swelling still, my PS said that would be the last to go at 4-6 weeks out. Grr. I'm SO impatient. The good news is I have 1 wk left in the CG, the bad news is I have to work, it's 117 degrees, and I wear a uniform. :(. I'm planning on staying in the office as much as possible, as close to the a/c as I can get!!!
