It's been about 6 weeks since I've had my procedures done. I did NOT go through Revitalize, but rather through Dr. Tokat directly, since I regularly go to Turkey and know the country well and did not need the extra care. The reduced price reflects that (I really got a great deal, but if you don't know anybody in Turkey I wouldn't go it alone.)

Dr. Tokat is very professional and seems to know what he's doing. He's young, and he doesn't seem to have a "specialty" yet, which I suppose can be a little scary, but I put my faith in him after seeing examples of his work both online and that he showed me in his office. One of the things I like so much about Dr. Tokat's example pictures that he showed me was that each person looked exactly like themselves, only a little better. There were no drastic changes or fake looking results. If you are looking for a dramatic change, he may not be your best bet, but if you generally like the way you look and want a subtle change for the better, Dr. Tokat is your man. It's still too soon to really see results, but overall I'm pretty happy and getting happier by the day.

Rhinoplasty: My nose was really long and crooked and it's certainly a lot shorter now but there is still a lot of swelling, especially on the end where it looks a little too round for my liking (at first I thought it was the surgery, but since it's getting better every day I'm guessing it's the swelling. Will update as it progresses.) I know they warn you that there will be swelling, but since most of the after pictures are taking several months down the road it really doesn't give you a good idea of what swelling really means and I was very depressed with my results the first month or so. Now I think I'm looking pretty good. Anyway, the one thing that annoys me is that I said I wanted it straightened, and even though my nose was broken it does not appear much straighter than it was before and still leans significantly to the right. Again, though, I will get a better idea when it heals more.

Lower Blepharoplasty: While it's true that my undereye circles are pretty much gone, Dr. Tokat uses a transcutaneous approach rather than a transconjunctival approach, which means there is a noticeable scar line (getting less pronounced by the day and it's still early, but still, I did not have extra skin and would have preferred a method that did not leave a scar.) The left eye also got pulled down too much, so there is mild ectropion and a slight downward droop (apparently not noticeable to others unless I point it out, but very noticeable to me when I see myself in the mirror.) He says he will be able to fix it when I go back this summer, so again, I will update!
