Very Bad Eyebrow Transplant Procedure
$1,000
This was one of the worst decisions I've ever made in my life. I had an eyebrow transplant performed March 2016. 500 grafts were extracted from the back of my scalp. After given local anesthetic and dazed from the the shock/trauma of the FUE process, the technicians THEN asked me to draw in the shape of my desired brows. This is NOT the time to ask a patient to do such a task when they are in pain, bloody and dazed/disoriented from local pain killer and in the middle of a surgery! This should have been determined before the procedure even took place. A female worker then came in and drew in brows that were more shape appropriate for a woman than a man and did not work with the existing contours of the brows as requested several times by me. For clarification, I am a man and the ultimate brow shape they gave me was too arched and inset too far in as for a woman. The ENTIRE procedure took place by technicians.
Fast forward two years later. The donor site of the 500 grafts is NOTICEABLY thin and looks like a giant square bald patch. I cannot even use clippers set at a 5 without it being incredibly visible. I have experienced dramatic and permanent shock loss in this area. A professional I consulted with believes this could have been due to poor harvesting technique. The brow growth itself is asymmetric. They did not fill in the upper inside corner of the right brow and as a result, it looks like someone chewed out a corner. The technicians were rushed and did not place the grated hair at the right angles according to surrounding native brow hairs. This is meant to be a delicate and artful process. Due to lack of skill, my brows are prickly and grow at strange angles (and unfortunately, this poor placement is most noticeable in the inner brow area which is by nature the most prominent location since it is right between the eyes).
Every day for two years I have deeply regretted this decision.
