Rhinoplasty by Dr. Mirza Firat

Hello everyone. Today I’m going to share my experience with rhinoplasty in Istanbul.
My nose has been bothering me for a few years, and I decided not to wait too long, and just fix it finally. I have been considering different countries to do it in, however I found that the surgeons in Turkey are very skilled when it comes to rhinoplasty. There are a lot of impressive surgeons out there, but after doing a lot of research I have found Dr. Mirza Firat. His work really impressed me and I knew that I wanted my rhinoplasty to be done by him.
Because I didn’t want to tell anyone about my plastic surgery, I went alone. Dr. Mirza Firat provides transfers to his patients which was really helpful, especially if you’re going alone. Also, I was worried because I don’t speak Turkish, but there is a translator which is accompanies you at all times.
I wasn’t too nervous about the surgery, because I knew that Dr. Mirza would do a good job. On the day of the surgery I was picked up at 6:30 and brought to the hospital. (Btw the hospital is really nice, the room looks more like a hotel room instead of scary hospital room). The surgery took about 1,5 hours. When I woke up from general anesthesia I felt alright actually. I wasn’t in any pain, and I didn’t have any side effects, I just felt a bit tired.
(I have been under general anesthesia before, and that time coming down from it was a lot worse.) I stayed in the hospital overnight, and the next day I was brought back to my hotel. Because I didn’t have any pain, I didn’t take any pain medication at all.
The thing I was really scared of was taking out of the packing in the nose. But the packing wasn’t as long and scary as everyone mentions, and it didn’t hurt at all to take it out. Overall pain wise, the only ‘painful’ part about the whole experience was putting in the catheter for the IV/ or taking blood test. So basically no pain at all. (Also dr. Mirza uses dissolvable stitches, so I didn’t have to go through the pain of removing stitches thankfully.)
Because dr. Mirza uses ultrasonic technique instead of regular, I didn’t have any bruises at all. (However I made up for it in swelling – my face swells up really bad always and holds the swelling for 2/3 months, but that's just me).
It has been a month after my surgery now. I am very pleased with the outcome. My nose looks like what I showed to the dr. during the consultation (I asked for a small, soft, feminine nose with natural curve). It has a perfect balance between looking natural, but still a noticeable difference from my previous nose. I truly wish I had done the surgery sooner instead of waiting for so long. I recommend looking into Istanbul if you’re considering a rhinoplasty, and especially Dr. Mirza Firat.
