This is the link of the company who I used for...
I was recommended the Lasik procedure which is the cheapest one (Thank God). I received a phone call from them to discuss it further. From there I had been back nd forth contacting them with loads of questions as you can imagine. They also gave me their WhatsApp contact which was so handy! They have 15 clinics. I choosed the Istanbul one as a lot of the testimonals was that clinic and also it's much easier to get to rather the smaller places. When I mentioned that I was defently interested they sent me an application form also discussed the price which I confirmed with them. €1240 for the procedure that includes 2 nights stay in a lovely 4 star hotel where they pick you up from airport and hotel. No pre payment and I paid after they done all my eye checks over there and in euro I paid. You can choose to pay in turkish Lyra also. On the application form you state what flights you have booked so they can arrange for pick ups and when to leave you back. Also I stayed an extra night as they have a deal with hotel for an extra 40 euro so I could go sight seeing. Which I really recommend. The hotel usually is 110 euro a night.
I used turkish airlines which was lovely ???? my flight was delayed which I got really worried that my driver wouldn't be there at the airport, but this wasn't a problem I think they check the status of the flights. The driver was there with my name on a card at arrivals. They sent an email the day before I left where the driver would be standing as the airport is huge. My dad came a long with me. Very last minute as I was planning to go out on my own and booked it just for me. But just WhatsApp them and told them my dad was coming and could you arrange it with the hotel for 2 single beds and this wasn't a problem and got sorted. The driver couldn't speak great english. He passed me his phone which a lovely lady works at the clinic welcomed me to Turkey and explained that the driver would leave me to my hotel and then would pick me up in the morning at 9.30am to go to the clinic. Everything was so organised and very professional. They used their own mini bus.. blackout windows, brand new and can rem it a smelt so good and clean. When I arrived at the hotel checked in.. this is where I had to gave them 40 euro actually worked out like 36euro for the extra night and the rest was covered by clinic. Next morning got picked up on time and brought to clinic. About a 5min drive and could easily walk it. Did all my eye checks/scans through numerous machines. Was then told was suitable. Also at this stage if your not suitable they will charge you 100 euro for the checks. So might be worth checking here if you can or not. I'm sure there is free consultations with optilase or something. I probably should have but I just chanced it. Anyway I played the 1240 euro. Brought downstairs for the surgery. There be's a person with you at all times who speaks excellent english as they ones doing your checks wouldn't have the best. Surgery was about 5mins in each eye. Painless and that's was it. Was back in my hotel 2hours after ????
Pain stated to kick in once I got to the hotel. I just used some neurofen and tried to snooze. Every hour had to use 3 different types of eye drops which they gave you, but you need to buy once finished those. Which I got for about 20 euro for all of them in a chemist over there. Cus you need to take them for 2 weeks. I'd say after about 4hours i was all ok and went shopping and got food with dad at a shopping mall about a 15 min walk. Though I did have to wear a pair of gammy shades they give you. Next morning got picked up again to do after checks and in and out in 1 hour was told it was very succesfull. And was free to go. They noticed that we were staying an extra night so they gave us Turkey maps and also was kind enough to leave us at the boat ferry so we could start from there. I really highly recommend them. The clinic is so clean and stylish. Very modern! Something you probably wouldn't get here in UK and Ireland. The technology they used is very high tech which the upgrade all the time as they told me they have competition and they need to change and get the best.
If yous have any questions ask away and il try and get back to you. Oh yeah Istanbul is a great city and cheap ????
