WORTH IT
Never liked my hair, even as a child, started to lose it in my early 20s, had one of the early plug HTs, as a lot of the stars of the time were having it done, so I thought it must be ok, but I was wrong & I spent the rest of my life trying to hide this rubbish HT & waiting / hoping for a cure..... About a year back I noticed HTs had advanced to a level where they didn't look like transplants any more, especially the Micro Fue method, so I checked several British Clinics & i wasn't very impressed with their photo results & prices, one Clinic even told me I was too far gone and offered me their latest natural wig system which I totally rejected & I left feeling very depressed.....After more research I discovered Turkey was the place to go, and Istanbul quoted as "the hair transplant capitol of the world" so after weeks studying the form, the "Maral Klinic" always came out on top with the best reviews..... I emailed Dr Tugrul Maral & got a quick reply and everything was arranged from there..... Now I won't go into every detail here, as you can look at any of the Maral Klinic reviews, as some of the guys have written many chapters explaining everything from start to finish and I would like to thank these guys personally because I got most of my information from them & discovered their info to be very accurate..... One important thing I must say, about a week before my arranged HT, some brainwashed Idiot blew himself up killing & maiming some innocent people near the centre of Istanbul, friends & family were warning me not to go & I got a bit worried and Emailed Dr Maral asking how safe it would be for me there, he wasn't very happy & rightly so, he explained to me that I'd be in more danger in London, New York, Paris, Stockholm or any other Major City in the world, and he was right, we found Istanbul & it's people to be very helpful & friendly, we never once felt threatened or afraid, my wife travelled with me and enjoyed the experience ..... I had my HT on the16th Jan 2016 it all went great, the speed/skill & accuracy of the technicians was breathtaking & always checking that I was comfortable & pain free, pretty girls too..... I was estimated 2500 / 3500 grafts, when finished I had 4200 grafts, I almost cried with joy ..... If anyone wants to ask me any questions please do so, as I know how important having a HT is..... Personally I can't remember when I have ever felt so happy & it's still early days for me yet, but I am very confident that in a few months I will be walking in the wind without a cap feeling re-born..... ..... ..... PS. not sure yet how to download photos, I'm working on it.

Still got a few small scabs on top of my head. Hope I'm allowed to do this, I get such a thrill gently moving my palm across the little brush like spikes sprouting on top..... yippee.

Keep us updated thanks for posting I'm planning to do my ht once I get my funds together do you pay for the transplant before you and did you book your ticket according to their schedule
January 28, 2016
..... Hello K N..... Yes you pay on the day of your HT, so use a money belt until you get there..... No they will schedule to suit your flight times, they have a very efficient system, basically, all you have to do is book your flights Maralklinic do everything else..... worked out great for me, everything on time.

Hey hairroil. Thanks for the update. 4200 grafts is a very good number and I am sure your results are going to be very good.
A question though. Is the hair on top of your head transplanted before Maral ? That's an interesting pattern I haven't seen before. Where did you have it ?

..... Oh yeah, that old plug type HT was done 40 years ago, Dr Maral was still at infant School, cannot remember name of the Clinic, it was in Redding England, it was very very painful, he used a very large hand punch in donor & recipient area & the hair was angled too upright, a big mistake, ,,,, MaralKlinic have implanted around & through it so in the end it should be hidden & look natural..... How is your HT coming along ?

Oh wow. You must be very brave to have that HT back then. Congrats on your decision..
My HT went pretty well. My growth is almost over. However, I am trying to setup a time for the second operation now :)

I must say that your ht journey sounded difficult, but I hope this new operation will give you the results you deserve. I am really interested to see what the next year brings you, and if you plan on filling in the crown.
February 3, 2016
..... Hello cssrss, thank you, I'm gonna wait to see how I look in about 10 months before deciding on filling the crown or not, maybe look more natural with bald crown, might suit my age better..... wait & see..... All the best.

Congratulations on the brave effort and fantastic looking results! I am 66 years old and had the very same plug HT 35 years ago in Chicago, USA, My plug method has been very excellent for the elapsed time, but my edges have balded a little more. Now that the FUE method exists I want to have a touch up on my edges and increase the density a bit. My work was done mostly on my crown, very little in the front. Dr. Maral and his team has given you a very nice looking hairline! I won't be going there until layer this year, but I think his Klinic will be my first choice. I can tell from your post-op photos you will have good density in the transplanted area. I would like to keep in touch with you do to all our similar previous experience! Good Luck!

Looks good. Did he take out the old plugs, or are they still there?
February 6, 2016
..... Hello Brad, the old plugs are still there as I requested & they are obviously now growing ahead of the new implants, when they start looking like tufts, I will trim them to match the newcomers..... They prove that transplanted hair does last forever..... All the best.
