Dr Maral and all his staff are first class. They're polite, courteous and respectful of you and what you are undertaking. Picked up from airport as planned and dropped to my hotel. Lovely hotel, no complaints. Then picked up the following morning and brought to clinic. The clinic was spotless and staff 1st class. Really couldn't have asked for better. Procedure was carried out with a break in between harvesting 3200 grafts and then transplanting them. The only pain you experience is the initial local anesthetic injections. After that its virtually pain free.. Nice lunch, I'd recommend the Turkish meatballs.... When completed, donor area was cleaned and covered up and I was then dropped back to the hotel. Had a bite to eat and a short stroll around the area. With bandages around your head, you are never going to feel 100% comfortable, but what the heck.. Soon discovered I wasn't the only one there getting a hair transplant. Up for breakfast the following morning and again brought back to the clinic for my check up. All was good. I was fitted with a trilby hat which was only for a few days. My flight was later that day, so I was brought to the airport and started to make my way home. No issues at all. I kept in touch with the clinic over the next several months and sent photos 8 months on. Really happy....roll on procedure no.2....

Hey Dave , looking good for 4 months , have you experienced any shock loss at all ?
No, none at all I'm pleased to say
I must say I did after my 2nd FUE - I am just gone 5 months and my hair is still growing back from the first hair transplant, hoping at month 6 it should have fully grown in. I did shave my head after 4 months for 4 weeks - weekly - then let it grow. 3000 graft 1st hair transplant and 2500 2nd time round. Patience is very hard at the moment!
Yes, patience is a virtue..... But unfortunately time is something you can't buy. You just have to give it. I do try to just forget about it and let it do its thing....
Wise words! I will try and do the same, I get my hair cut every week, nothing off the top and back and sides, grade 0, looks a lot better when I do. Helps me be patient lol
With cutting the back so tight, do you see any scaring???. I normally get my son, who is a barber, trim it every 3 weeks or so
I will have a skin fade this Friday, first time so will let you know after.
Goodstuff.

well done to you too Dave , how many Grafts this time ? thanks
Thanks. 2300 this time around. I was surprised to be honest, I was expecting 1500/1600 or so.
Dave, your 1st procedure looks amazing. Your hair is going to look fantastic after round two grows in. I'm really happy for you.
Thank you. I'm really happy with the way things are so far
G'day Dublin Dave, it's great to see your pics, thank you.
I'm very interested in your upcoming pics after this second session.

With DerekLucan's great results and very detailed review, I'm glad some other Dubs are getting over to see Dr Maral and his team.

How many grafts did you get this time? Hope it all is going/growing well!

AussieBee
Hi aussiebee. 1st procedure 3200. 2nd 2300. All growing well so far. I'm 3months post op so I'm kinda waiting for the crown to catch up. You just gotta give it time. I'll post pics this week for update...thanks
Thank you Dave. Happy growing!
how is it looking now Dublin Dave and are you happy you got the second HT?
Yeah happy so far. The first grew back fairly quick and covered me up. I knew the crown would be a slower affair so playing the waiting game now.....I'm four months on since 2nd procedure. I'll post a couple of pics
dave i know it sounds stupid but were you a bit paranoid when you got home and people looking at your head after the op,to me thats the worst part and i know it will be worth it in the end
A little. Nothing that a cap won't sort out. I got mine done the winter months which I would recommend. After 2weeks it looks just like you've your head shaved. Remember its healing all the time
i was thinking about just before christmas and letting it heal over the holidays, you know yourself us irish love a good slagging but its worth it in the end, fair play to you it looks great
You won't regret a thing... So many Irish lads going over to him. I just think winter time is better.......less daylight hours...lol
Pm me if you want to organise a chat
