13 days after!

I should definitely allocate more time to writing this. So, 13 days post op: No scabs (hurrah) I'm noticing the donor area looks a bit on the over harvested side (4100 grafts) head is still a bit red and sore/itchy but I'm assuming this will die down in time. I'm not washing my hair everyday (neither should you, if areas are clean) but still keeping it hydrated. So far so good; just keeping an eye on my donor area now. Any questions feel free to ask.

First shampoo!

So, i got picked up by my driver (I don't want to misspell the guys name) and on to the clinic I met with Dr. Maral (who is genuine, truthful and very funny, which was a relief haha). The pleasantries out the way we got on to hair: I don't know what compelled me to do so but I had shaved my head the month before, to which the good Dr Wasn't too happy about! He drew a line slightly above my hairline (it looks like a Forrest fire) and although concerned at first I completely see why he done so. •• On to the surgery: honestly, the staff are some of the nicest people you could meet. The procedure flew in as I was mostly sleeping haha. •• after care explained then back to the hotel for room service. Next morning I was taken to the clinic again: found out they took an easy 4100 grafts (YUS) and we all got Michael Jackson hats! (I left mine in the hotel room - I found it easier to wear a baseball ball very loose, not touching my head. •• today is the first wash, I've attached a photo of white residue after my lotion & shampoo DONT PANIC LIKE I DID - that disappears. There wash a dash of blood but I won't force it loose just yet. Very happy so far.

So, I've researched Dr. Maral for over a year and thanks to everyone on RealSelf (what's with the fake 1star review accounts?) I made the decision and here I am.

My trip so far. Flew in to Istanbul Attaturk Airport via Turkish Airlines (which is a now highly recommended airline). Walked out the exit but too many people & name cards so I side stepped and phoned the driver. I met his friend (was 12 midnight by the time I got in) who wasn't all that talkative which was fine as I was soaking in how lovely Istanbul looks.

Today, I awoke at 8am and headed down for breakfast with some reading materials. Good selection and lovely staff at Levant Hotel. I needed the rest so I'm now waiting to get picked up at 3pm.

Pretty dam excited to finally get this done.
