Helloo everyone!
it's been a while, i hope you are all doing great!
I can't believe it's already 11 months since I had my procedure. I couldn't find time to take some pics so I thought i should share at least one picture i took yesterday after my haircut.

Wow man your hair is beautiful!!!!! Do you still have bumps from the procedure on your scalp? Or did everything go away? Also how do you feel about the procedure, do you think you would need to get another 1 done or you're good? Because in some of your pics it looks super dense, but from the one on top in the light some spots appear to be darker than others. I'm only asking because your pics look good, but I can't see it in person so you would know depending on how you feel.

Also 1 last question, when you go in for the procedure do you tell them how low you want your hairline? Or do they chose it for you? Like if I wanted to get 3000+ graphs would I be able to tell them that? And is every procedure the same price? Sorry I'm asking so many questions you have really helped me throughout my decision process like you don't even know!!!!

Yes absolutely! you tell then how low you want it. But the doctor will decide whether what you want is possible or not depending on the number of grafts they are able to pull out. So generally speaking, how low you want your hairline will depend the number of grafts your donor area can provide.

All the scalps from the surgery have fallen off.
And i don't think i would be going for a 2nd ht. I have also observed that my hair density isn't quite uniform; so areas especially the hairline is growing thicker than other parts. But i am just in my 6th month so I would wait and see how it will turn out at the end.
Ask as many questions as you want brother, never hesitate!

At six months and two weeks, this is a good result (for me at least) Your hair on top looks dense and overall coverage looks absolutely fine. And this is only six months plus. I'm sure the hair will grow more for an excellent result.
Thanks for the update.

Looks great again!
Did you shave your head at any point after the transplant? If so how long after the HT could you shave or cut your hair??
Congratulations on the result man!

thanks man! Yh i first shaved my hair about 4 weeks after the transplant. Since then I've been shaving every 4 weeks . But i don't shave the recipient area, i only trim it with a pair of scissors

Was there a reason why you didn't shave there and trimmed it with clippers instead..or you just didn't want to?
You recommend me doing the same?

yh, it's not advisable to shave the recipient area during the first 6months after the transplant. The newly implanted grafts are week so you risk pulling them off.

I have to say very impressive, I too am of African descent and so this gives me hope. Can I ask how you coped with having to work or study while going through the process. Did people ask questions, how did you handle it? Thank you Macauley

I'm a student so I used to wear a cap whenever I attended lectures.
But due to the dark nature of our scalp most people don't realise we have undergone an ht. It was mostly my close friends who asked some few questions because they noticed it but generally, most people didn't know.

I'm from the UK (London) , I was going to save up a get it done by Dr Deip, but I want to get about 1700 - 2100 grafts done and he is just way to expensive, quoting me around 12,000 - 20,000, but after seeing your results I'm really impressed, and believe there are other people around the world that are skilled in HT for afro / caribbean hair.
would you be able the send me the rep information and also the HT clinic information, I'm planning to get my HT done this year.
P.s ,You should do a video !
