I had a total of 3300 grafts to hairline and crown. This was performed over one day. I am very happy with the result so far.
Pros: Reasonably priced FUE hair transplant, professional staff and good outcome of transplant thus far. The graft extraction was done by the main surgeon.
Cons: Difficulty sleeping for a few days after the procedure. Some mild headache and scalp numbness (settled after about a week). The re-implantation was done by his assistants rather than himself. The contract was in Turkish, not English.

A word of caution with Dr Ilhan Serdaroglu

Headbanger
Hi, since posting the previous review I noticed that there has been an entry from someone on another forum which talks about his HT with Dr Serdaroglu (3300 grafts and for only $2020) whereas mine was €3000 (just over €1000 difference in price). I emailed him about this and he has not replied. This other guy's HT was only done a couple of weeks before mine. I felt very disappointed to realise that I had paid so much more for effectively the same HT.

Yes yours seems very expensive! I paid $1500 US for 3000 grafts with Dr Yetkin in June. But did yours include accommodation? Mine was HT only

1 year post transplant

Headbanger
Hi, I've uploaded my 1 year post transplant pictures. Overall I am very satisfied with the transplant. I continue to use regaine/rogaine daily and alopecin shampoo maybe about once a month. The patch of numbness on the upper forehead took a few months to return to normal. One side effect which I've noticed is that the hair has quite a bit more curl to it. I think a positive aspect to this whole process is that I'm no longer overly concerned or anxious about my hairline or feel that I'm balding. It's just simply not a worry that occupies my thoughts any longer. Ultimately if I went back in time to my younger self I would 1) continue to use regaine/rogaine (and not stop) so that I never need a transplant in the first place, 2) if I did stop then I would get the transplant again, 3) use this website to seek out a recommended surgeon, 4) double check pricing with other customers/users. I don't know if I would go back to Turkey now with the current political climate, though. I hope that this update is useful. It's likely that I won't be visiting this site for the foreseeable future, so best of luck everybody! :)
