Second Fue

$2,370
Much happier after second FUE at another clinic, but still left with sour taste of first experience.
If I could give any advise it would be - if you just want a straight forward procedure a lot of these clinics will probably fit your needs (e.g you are filling in crown or have good density but slightly lowering hairline). If you want to work out what you want through conversation, I'd say do that before you go on your trip. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted but had some ideas and hoped the consultation would help me nail down exactly what I wanted. Because it felt rushed etc this is not what I got and in the end I had to make a second trip.
I'm still happy with where I have got to with my hair so far, could have been better, but till happy eventually.

Hi Delss,Thank you for sharing. As a Noorwood 6,7, or 8,the DR.must educate patient to do FUT method or FUT +FUE combined to get 5000grafts for full coverage.Beards and body chest hair as supplement. Now they have damage your donor area with FUE.Are you satisfy with your result.?Do you plan for 2nd HT?
Did you go to Dr Cinik for the second one?
Well done mate for going for a second round , how many Grafts did you get ? thanks
hey, yeah had to be done. another 2-2500. 1500 from head and around 1000 from beard I was told.
That’s great you are satisfied with your recent hair transplant. I’m just debating on if I should go with Maral Klinik, Cosmedica, or Dr Cinik. I recently visited Istanbul & had consultations. Cosmedica told me that I only needed 2500 grafts which would take care of only the front part of my head. I feel I need more than 2500 grafts since my mid scalp area also needs some work. I went to Dr Cinik but he was already on the way out & ended up speaking with his lead technician & clinic advisor. I really wanted to meet with the doctor but I did like the fact that they said they can fill in the mid scalp area. I also spoke with Dr Maral and he didn’t draw a line on my head like the other clinics did but said he would fill in the areas where it looks like its needed plus the front of course. He also said he is flexible with the hairline to my taste but as long as it’s reasonable & not to low or else it would look unnatural. I’m real having a hard time deciding but the choice must be made soon.
they're all experts at what they do so worth listening to but like I've said before we are the experts of the look we want to go for. if I had done the same as you and visited for consultations first I would have asked (with the benefit of hindsight) this is what I am going for exactly, can you do it. then dependdong on responses, vibe, setting, timing price etc decision can be made
I agree with you. I did like the hairline Dr Acar drew for me, it was great. I just didn’t like the fact that he wasn’t willing to put more than 2500 grafts. He said that it could damage the other good grafts I have in my mid scalp area and I do understand & agree with him. The only thing is that other clinics I spoke with said they are able to add more grafts because they have the experience of adding grafts next to existing natural grafts. I was trying to upload a picture so everyone can see my situation but hopefully I can figure this upload process.
ah ok. well the even blended some of the new grafts in to the area of the first FUE. but that's not the same as next to natural grafts. good luck whatever you decide!
Thank You, I appreciate it.
hell do you have any pics to share?how t was the 2nd operation?

I feel for you. Your forehead looks huge. I would not pay for that job
Yeah cheers bud. Stating the obvious really makes me feel great
Sorry, I should of worded that differently.
On a positive note you only need to concentrate on your front now so it should be ok with another session
Can't see your face but I have a sneaky suspicion that you can pull off this 'look'. You have nice thick eyebrows and good skin. Some people can look really good with a high forehead. I bet you're one of these people.
ORIGINAL POST

After lots of research here on real self i decided...

After lots of research here on real self i decided to go to the maral klinik with Dr Maral Tugrul.
Now I was informed I was grade 7 hair loss by email consultation (told face to face 7-8 my expectations were not to come back with a full head of hair by any means. i was just hoping for 3-4000 grafts. I was told by the pics would be approx 2500-4000+ grafts, but of course can't tell for sure until seen in person.
This was all fine.
All of the picking up, hotel, transfers were fine.
The actual experience of the clinic, actually with the Dr is what felt a let down. I had specific ideas in my head about what I wanted and where i wanted a hairline, the Dr and his team told me they knew better and i should listen to them. they drew a hair line half way up my head. the Dr was sure i would then want the back of the head filled and not the front but i was not so sure as i always wanted to have the hairline. even part way through the procedure when the hairline was getting drawn in again ready for the second plant i asked the Dr to come in again. the attitude is "trust me" and it felt that if you had any worries or questions they weren't welcomed. this might all be a cultural misunderstanding but left me feeling that service was defo not their strong point.
Now my 2500 are all still there, i didn't even have shock loss so to that extent the results were good. its the aesthetics of it that i am not happy with in terms of where the hairs have been place and the conversations that have been had about it.
overall, if you have a good donor area, or are more straightforward and not high on norwood, then this clinic might very well be ok for you like the lots of other positive reviews on here. but for me it hasn't been a good experience. even when i contacted them to discuss a second FUE the experience has left me not wanting to use this clinic again, and i won't be. if i wanted to it would be on their terms. i haven't added any pics cos honestly I'm too disappointed in how it looks to be bothered to. but i would be happy to answer questions if anyone had any. like i said lots of people have great results here, but i wasn't one of them.
I have found another clinic now that i am going with to get the front of the hairline sorted. if this is a success then I'm hoping the two FUE's combined will look great, fingers crossed!!

Hi , sorry to hear of your experience , can you add some photos please ? Thanks
To be honest i think the clinic were correct. If you placed the hairs majority front there is no way it is going to stretch far enough towards the back to look good. People including myself! Sometimes have unrealistic expectation what can be done in one sitting. Also remember the drs/clinic must work from a technical point of view as to what is feasible. If they listen to layman then there would be a lot of bad results walking out the clinic! Wait 6-8 months and finish the job with another clinic. This is a process friend
Jerry, thanks for the comment. I had this done last year so it's been nearly a year. What I thought then is the same that I think now. I should have gone with my gut as i had done plenty of research to know what I wanted. I know exactly what I want my hair to look like I know exactly the style I want both of which were absolutely achievable. I am indeed going to finish the job at another clinic that I have already had a better experience in communicating with. Like I said in the review , in terms of my personal needs and wants, it want a good experience. I'm well aware that the majority of their reviews are good but just wanted to document my experience as food for thought. Best wishes
Completely understand where are you going for the second opp
Not 100% yet. I've found one place where I'm happy with the communication with them but need to do a bit more research about results etc. will share once I decide for sure
Will go over around November this year hopefully. Did want to go somewhere more local in Europe but the reviews weren't great
Stay in turkey bro they are the best
Can you add some photos of your results please ?
Hey, I added a photo after your last request.
Hi Delss.Thank you for sharing. As a Noorwood 7 ,DR. should advice you FUT+Fue combined method.5000grafts for full coverage.Beard and body chest hair as supplement.Hope this help.
hi, thanks for the comment. I've actually gone for my second FUE. total 5000 grafts now including some from beard. the hairline is now 2-3 cm lower. if I was to do it all again I would go to my Second DR first time and saved lots of money. basically if you are above nw 5-6 you rwally need to know your end goal. mine has been to have lower hairline with coverage working back towards the crown and then SMP as I shave my head and my goal was to have texture from fue and eventually density from SMP
Your review is refreshing because it explores a different experience from the vast majority of the other reviews. Someone else mentioned though that the felt patronised by the Dr. May I ask where you went for your second procedure? I'd only want my hairline filled in and lowered.
hi. I went to cosmedica for the second one, better overall experience for me. but like I've said before plenty people have had good experiences elsewhere
