28 Year Old 3200 Grafts with Dr Cinik

1 Year Update!

WORTH IT$1,990
Hey guys,
So it's been roughly a whole year since my hair transplant (wow does time fly!)
I'm not 100% satisfied as the rightside is a bit thin in places and my non transplanted hair doesn't properly blend in. I do use hair fibres and this works really well to blend in the hair and thicken the thinner bits. All the pictures are without hair fibres.
However, overall I am very happy with the results (I know there's potentially another 6months of growth but I don't see much changing).
I feel alot more confident than I did before and the anxiety that I felt when being out in public and feeling like everyone is staring at my balding head/smp, has gone away.
I would really recommend this if you are suffering with hairloss and it is getting you down like it was with me. Its a long journey but the reward is worth it in the end. Once you're past the 1st week you're over the worst of it.
I stopped with minoxidil foam as I felt like it wasn't doing anything for me. Since stopping I haven't noticed any more hairloss at the crown.
I've continued with finasteride but only 3times a week and haven't had any sides from this and it appears my existing hair hasn't got any worse.
To the guys who have smp. I have shaved my hair down to 3mm all over a few months ago. It does look alot better than before if you want a textured look with smp. However because of the spacing of the new hairs you can still see quite a bit of scalp so the smp is still noticeable.

Congrats! It will be interesting to see if it thickens up over the next 6 months or so like you said. Either way it's already a huge improvement :)
Thanks mate, I will look to do an update at 18months.
Cheers for sharing pal. Hope mine looks as good as yours at this point.
Where did the beard graphs go? Is it different from the rest of your hair?

Holy [RS bleep] that looks good! That’s the holy grail of dream results. Almost too good to be true! I’d sell a [RS bleep] now for a result like that after 6.5 months.
If you did that, it'd probably stop you going bald, anyway.
:)
Ha!
That's really nice :)
Ey Buddy, has the patchy equalled the other one?? I've got exactly the same [RS bleep], even more noticeable than you. Almost 5th month and not quite happy
lackey1234, thank you for sharing your journey with this. It really does look great. With the 200 chest/beard hairs, do they stand out easily or does it blend in well? I have similar recession (though 10 years further along) and head shape so I would guess I'd be in a similar situation as you and that would be a concern.
Considering seeing Cinik myself in a few months. How is the payment process there do you need to convert your native currency? Also i guess you need a visa? Havent flown overseas before so i dont know much all i have is a passport and USD lol

5 month Update

As this thread seems to be very positive (which is great) I'm happy to potentially help people who are in a similar situation to what I was in. But I did just want to mention a few thing that I think are not so great which may help you in deciding to go for the procedure....
So the left side is coming along really well but the right side is still looking pretty thin and is growing in all directions. I'm hoping by month 6 it will have evened out.
I'm not 100% satisfied with my donor area at present. It's difficult to judge because I had my hair so short for so long and my hair was always pretty weak on the sides. There is just a few patches that look quite bare when I let it grow out. But again when I cut it short you can't notice. If I was someone who preferred having my hair longer on the sides this would be a bigger problem.
Lastly an area of my scalp is still numb, it has been improving each week so I'm hopeful it will go back to normal. It's not a very big area(probably the size of a £2 coin) so if I'm being honest I'm not that bothered.
**PROPECIA UPDATE**
I started taking Propecia 2 weeks before my op. I was on it for nearly 5months. After 4months I started to notice a few sides, I tried to convince my self it was just a coincidence and that It was something else. Decided to come off the drug and 3weeks later all the side effects I was experiencing have gone.
Please feel free to ask any questions. Apologies if I haven't replied I've been really busy but I have a few days off now so will try my best to reply.

Mate, on the whole, that looks superb and I'd still be chuffed if mine ends up like that. Would you consider getting SMP done around the sides/donor area to even it out and to add a more 'dense' appearance there? I'm heading over to see Dr. Cinik on 6th July now (didn't make it on 27th May as I didn't realise that I needed a Visa to get into Turkey and only had 3 months left on my passport so they wouldn't let me in anyway - oops). And your crown looks pretty good too, right?
looking good Lakey , did you receive many Grafts on your crown area ?
Wow your result after only 5 months is incredible!! My result after 12 months is not as good as yours after 5 months so imagine just how much thicker yours is going to get over the next 6 months!! Well done brother
Thank you so much. It's very interesting how SMP really helps to give an illution of fullness. It looks like it supplements FUE very well.

I would never consider SMP alone, but together with a transplant I'm beginning to warm to the thought... are you happy you did the SMP as well?
Illusion... god damn keyboard :)
Hi Lakey, How's it all going, progressing well?
I would also love to know how you’re doing. Results looking great, I would imagine it would look even better by now.
