Hello, I want to share my beard transplant experience. It is my 10th day after the operation.
I arranged my appointment with Dr.Guray on December. I checked many doctors but Dr. Guray seems very sincere and trustworthy in his videos. I also chose him because he is a plastic surgeon and he accepted to do my secondary nose operation.
I also request all medicines, hotel and transfer service. (As I calculated, it is convenient and cheaper then try to arrange everything by yourself) They picked me up from the airport with a private car and went to hotel. Mia Berre Hotel is a nice and clean hotel with 4 stars. Also it is located very center of Istanbul.
Next morning, they took me again with a private car and we went to hospital. First I got the consultation with Dr Guray about my nose and beard transplant. He drew the lines my beard and decided to transplant 2800 graft. Then I got the blood test, a sedative pill and shave. The nurses help me to prepare for the operation.
I felt a little bit pain during the anesthetizing of donor area. Lots of injections were done and then I started to feel nothing. All my friends say that I am a nervous and tense person. But during the operation I was really relaxed because of the the behaviour of the technicians. They are very light handed and so experienced. They collected grafts until midday and after lunch break they started to transplantation.
When the operation done, they took me to another operation room for my rhinoplasty operation. I don’t remember anything about that operation but when I woke up, I found myself in a hospital room. Then Dr. Guray visited me and he said both operations were good and I must stay one night in the hospital. Normally if I had just the beard transplant, I could go my hotel after the operation. But I should stay one night because of rhinoplasty operation.
Next morning, I had again a consultation with Dr Guray and returned my hotel. That day I rested and wait for my first wash. I went to hospital again 1 day after the operation. The nurses show me how to wash my beard and how to take care of my new beard hairs. I stayed 5 days more in Turkey for the rhinoplasty controls but I learned that I could return home immediately after my first wash.
Currently I am really happy with my new beard. Want to thanks to Dr. Guray and his assistants.
