Hey everyone,
This is going to be my final update.
It's been 1 year and 3 months since my hair transplant (time has flown so fast).
I hold absolutely no regrets about having this procedure done, it has worked spectacularly.
I couldn't imagine how badly bald I would be now if I didn't go and do it.
For anyone looking to get it done, I'd recommend Dr Cinik. Dr Cinik and his team have provided me with results beyond my expectations.
If you are afraid of going to Turkey, don't be. It's fine. It's safe and the food is amazing (if you love your food like me). Try and make the most of your time there and enjoy yourself. Relax. Don't worry. It is different there, but who cares! Fly in fly out and you'll have a great head of hair in 12 months time.
Here's my sum up of my experience.
1) To remove and implant the hair follicles from your head, some anaesthetic needs to be used. A needle is used to inject it. It is not that bad. People have written it's the worst pain in their lives? Seriously. It's not that bad. Suck it up, you'll have a full head of hair in 12 months.
2) It's safe over there. I stayed for a few more days and I loved the food and the culture there. IT is different, but isn't it good to see new cultures? It has a lot of history, so a lot to see and they have an amazing strait called the Bosphoros.
3) It will be an eye opener. There's tonnes of people from all walks of life, they drive like maniacs and there will be scanners everywhere for security. Relax. don't worry.
Extra tip:
- Make sure that you get a good plane seat (like the exit row) for comfort on the way there and back.
- Use google translate to communicate with people if you need to.
Good luck to anyone who is thinking of going. I was so nervous once I booked the ticket, looking back, I'd do it again 100%. It was a great experience and now I am so confident with my hair. I can style it and it has really made me look much young PLUS it looks completely natural!
All in cost $6,500 inc surgery, accomodation for 7 days (I stayed 4 days longer) and EXIT row seat on Emirates INCLUDING $1200 AUD spending money.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! WIsh you the best.

I'm now 11 months into my journey. I think this will be one of last posts.
I have reached the point of being completely and utterly happy with my results.
I would highly recommend getting this done. My confidence has sky rocketed. I no longer worry about my hair. I can style it how I want and feel good about myself :)

10 Months after

So it's been 10 months since my hair transplant in Turkey. I'd like to declare at 10 months I am extremely happy with the results. The way you can judge whether it's a success or not is whether you worry about you hair any more, which I certainly don't. In fact, after around 5 months I was happy, so it's just getting better and better.
Before my hair transplant, I did not know what to do with my hair, It stressed me out, no matter how I did it, I didn't feel comfortable with how I looked. It's true, your hair can definitely change the way you look, it frames your face and makes you look younger. Even though the aesthetic part is important, the most important thing is my peace of mind. I am no longer worrying about the way I look, I am more confident around people and at work, in general, it has helped me be my confident self once again.
For anyone who's lacking in self confidence, for anyone who wants to feel better about how they look, I say DO IT!. It's worth it. Yes, it's a long time to wait for results, but it's an investment in you and you.

How many grafts did you do, because they have really covered the front well. Amazing

Excellent mate made up for you.... I had mine done at the start of July so at the ugly duckling phase and it does get me down at times I know I just have to be patient. What if any supplements do you take and are you using finastride? Keep on growing!!!
August 17, 2018
Hey mate, been there done that, Don't worry :) Mate I am not taking anything to be honest. Reason why is my hair loss was pretty advanced so I probably won't lose as much hair as a younger person who did it with more hair. I was taking the supplements and finasteride but I had stopped at month 4. Everything seems to be ok though :) Stick in there man it will get better
