I got rhinoplasty done 12 days ago. The reason for wanting to get it is because I had a big bump on my nose on the side profile. My front view was great I didn't mind it at all...
The day I got the cast removed I nearly fainted from how I looked and I had to lay down. My nose was HUGE and my nostrils were facing upwards and they looked bigger.
My surgeon said he would remove the bone... fix the tip a little (so it wouldn't drop from removing the bone) and make my nostrils a tad smaller (which is crazy because they look way bigger)
Everyone is telling me it's swollen and it'll go down and I will see wonderful results in one year. But when I look in the mirror I don't see my self. I look like avatar. I feel like the bone suited me more!!
I do love my side profile but the front is awful..

How to clean outside of nose
Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows how I can clean the outside of my nose. It's still quite sensitive. So I have only been washing it very gently with a wet cloth and some soap but I have many black heads and red dots. Is there something specific I should be cleaning it with?

I use a cleanser twice a day combined with fresh Aleo Vera. Do not put any pressure on your nose when you clean it and remember not to take hot showers. It increases the swelling.

Hi there! I had the exact same problem! My nose was so oily, but its now a month after and I have been using toner and my skin looks back to normal! Hope this helps :)

I am speaking from personal experience when i say there is nothing to be worried about. It should look big and swollen at this stage. I had a rhinoplasty and loved my nose how it looked on say day 10 then by 3 months post op i disliked it because it became too small after the swelling went down. Honestly it should look big and swollen at your stage in the recovery, if it didnt then it wont look right once all the swelling has gone down. Even though everyone wants a 'small' nose trust me if its too small like in my case, it doesnt suit your face because it wouldnt be in proportion to the rest of your facial features. Please dont be worried and let it heal! :) also remember it will be swollen for a year. Im sure in a years time you will be super happy.
