Gurl!! Good luck! I'm also having a MM with the lift, implants, TT and lipo, coming the first week of July. I started losing weight in March, but I've still got a good 20 lbs. to lose. I'm hoping to lose at least 10 or 15 of that come surgery time. We got this!! :D We're gonna look hot! Here are some tips I've thought of today: If you smoke, quit!! It really screws with the healing process, or so I've heard. Start working your abs if you don't already. Bicycle crunches are great for working the whole abdominal wall, and I've been told that the more toned your abs are before the tummy tuck, the better the results are going to look. Plenty of water before, during and after recovery! It's great for the skin and the whole body in general. It will flush out stored toxins and most likely aid the recovery process (however, don't drink the full 8 glasses the first few days! You don't want to have to get up to pee every 5 minutes after a Mommy Makeover lol). Take vitamins and supplements with gelatin and collagen, they are good for the skin. Eat enough, and eat nurtitious veggies, fruits, healthy fats and lean protein. You want your body to be well nourished before going in for major surgery. Also, dry brushing the skin before showers. Google it and you will find lots of resources. It works well to get the blood flowing to the surface of the skin, exfoliate dead skin cells, and help the lymphatic system drain itself more efficiently. None of this is doctor backed, but I've done lots of research about this kind of stuff. :) After surgery tips: I've heard that a robe can be a lifesaver for the first few days. That way you don't have to struggle with any unbuttoning, unzipping, pulling on and off, etc. Make sure you've got everything you need before procedure day. Clean clothes, house and bedding, comfortable sleeping situation, no obstacles in the house to make it easy to get around, roller cart with meds, water bottles, tissues, healthy snacks, remote, chargers, books, phone, laptop, etc. near your sleeping area. Maybe even a shower chair and toilet seat raiser (not sure what they call those) to make your bathroom experiences less difficult. And Prune juice or a mild laxative! I've heard the pain meds really constipate you. Get a leg elevating pillow, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Hermell-Products-MJ4020RSB-Elevating-rest/dp/B0081X3V4U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1431048458&sr=8-2&keywords=leg+elevating+pillow because if your legs are in the same, non-elevated position for too long, you run the risk of clotting. Plus, I've heard that the tight feeling of a TT is uncomfortable, and that will help to release tension on the incision. They also have ones for your head, neck and whole upper body. And, ask your doc, but I've heard that dermarolling is great for reducing the appearance of scars. Of course, if you did use a dermaroller, you would have to wait 6 weeks, if not longer, for the incisions to heal. They are only like 5-7 dollars on Amazon. That's all I can think of for now! If you have any, share! :D I'm doing a review, too, so if you like following them you can check mine out. Again, good luck! It's going to be awesome!!

Oh! One more idea I've been considering is getting one of those bedpans. I'm not crazy about the idea, but still, I'm sure that's better than having to get up and walk to the restroom. In my house, the restroom is pretty far away from the bedroom. I'd probably still do #2 in the restroom, but I pee like 8 times a day and don't want to go through all that lol. Oh and avoid salty foods! They will make you swell up like a baloon.

So, I'm beyond getting nervous about my procedure!! Bring that I'm an out of state pt, I really felt the need to meet up with my surgeon to make sure we were both on the same page as far as my expectations ! It's so important to have a great dr that listens to you and makes you feel comfortable and confident!
I can't even begin to express how much I love my Dr! He's got the best bed side manner and he is honest and truly listens to his patients!! I could have had my surgery in CO , but Dr Kobayashi, in my eyes is worth the travel here. Today's visit was to sign the deal so I'm ALL IN!!! Date is on the books, so I'm ready to be from a frumpy mom to a sexy mom!!!! I can't wait!!!!!
