Fractional Laser for Acne Scar - Irvine, CA

had acne scars on my face and went to see Dr. Jafari at Amoderm. She was very nice and explained different types of scar and things that can be done for each with lasers and fillers. She recommended that I do fractional CO2 laser and I signed up for 2 sessions. I first started to use their special prep cream for two weeks to brighten then skin so that the laser can be done at a higher energy level on my skin. On the day of treatment, they first put some numbing cream on my face and then the nurse started the laser. I am a bit of techie guy so I asked the nurse to show me how the laser worked and she gladly did. This specific type of laser scans the skin in form of a grid and they can change the shape of the grid and the density of the lasered areas to each patient's specific need. It's so cool! Anyways, the laser treatment was completed and I was ok, and had only a little bit of tingling feeling. Right after the laser, my face was red and they applied some cream and gave me the instructions on what to do and not to do for the next few weeks. I followed the instructions carefully (which involved applying their healing cream, having cold compresses with dilute vinegar, applying sun block, etc) and my face gradually healed and I was glad to see the acne scars to become less and less noticeable. In addition, I also noticed that the tone and texture of my skin became much better following the laser, which was a bonus! After about 3 months, I did the 2nd fractional laser session and had the same excellent experience. Now after a couple of months, I am still very happy with the results and my acne scars are way better and you can barely notice them on my face!
