Left junction with nipple weeping slightly under remaining steri strip - back to surgeon tomorrow for him to check it.

Hi! They were actually delighted with my progress, my 'T' junction is sealed and the weeping is very mild, all strips off (thanks be! ) and i can put cream on and massage, I'm starting to like them, ignoring completely the shape etc for now, focusing on mending but am enjoying trying on clothes! Xx

Thank you :-) hmm, the bra post surgery needs to squish your new breasts completely because it is the 'bounce' of your breasts that hurts. you need at least 3, because they will get slightly soiled, i bought cheap but very firm sports bra's from tesco which my nurse thinks are amazing. Also, pillow between you and the seat belt for the journey home and if it is a long way take pain meds before you travel. Buy your silicone ointment before your surgery, you'll want to put that on AS SOON AS YOU'RE CLEARED because by then you will be crazy itchy! I could go on all day but don't worry I'll still be around when you've gone for yours so just ask!

Healing...
Itchy itchy itchy! Argh! Also, for the first time it feels like someone is dancing all over my breasts they are so tender and sore. Activity levels good though, especially if I nap a little during the day. Not great sleeping at night though. Showering as normal though and that feels great :)

I healed practically in a couple of weeks I never used arnica or any other supplements I took the steri strips off when I got really itchy it was a great relief, I never had any bruising or openings, when I took of the steri strips sudocreme it stopped the itch, I was back to normal life really quickly I went from a 34h to at the moment 34/32 d shopping is amazing and I can work out with a good sports bra, good luck with the recovery
I actually love them now, they filled out as they dropped amd got a little bigger, now they're the perfect size. Big, but i can pick a bra off the rack and it will fit! I've got much more confidence in myself, quite like wearing all the kinds of tops i never could before, and love the look of them in and out of clothes! I still have swelling to one side but my review is in January so I'll talk to doc then but in general I'm very happy. I'd advise you to go for it, be emphatic about your size and change your surgeon if you have any doubts at all! Be prepared though for a whole mental gamut afterwards and try your best not to judge yourself or go anywhere where people might judge you for the first month as you're still really sensitive then! I'm 7 months post op and it was a full 4 months before i began to be confident and happy with my new look but now I couldn't be more pleased. Everyone's journey is different, I wish you well on yours!
