Since I was 17 I knew my breasts were not the 'normal' shape. I began my research officially at the start of 2018 and soon came to the idea that I had the condition known as TBD (Tuberous Breast Deformity). Initially I went to a local GP but she had never heard of the condition and told me that I was fine, but I was still very much so unhappy with how I looked.
So, I had my first consultation in a private clinic in London (I'm from and currently live in Ireland by the way), the reason as to why I travelled was because I had seen this particular surgeon's work and fell in love. Her stitching was impeccable and left little to no scarring! I had also spoken to girls who underwent surgery with her and they gave her nothing but positive reviews, I was ecstatic to say the least. But when I went over myself, I was actually disappointed. I was told to wait in a room up until my consultation, but the lady sent me into the wrong waiting room and they thought I had left. I was in that room for nearly two hours. They even had CCTV in the room which I was in and could view it at the front desk where someone always was, so there was no excuse to not come and get me. This then messed up other patient's consultations but I eventually got to see the surgeon. She listened to what I wanted, then examined, confirmed I had TBD and said what I wanted was unachievable. Devastating to say the least. I wanted the periareolar lift (as little scarring as possible), reduced areolae and a fat graft to the left breast (my left breast is slightly smaller). She recommended a typical mastopexy and moderate implants, which totalled to £8,000. I didn't agree to go with this clinic straight away and flew back home to think about it.
I then went to a consultant in my home country after doing more research (girls, always get more than one surgeon's opinion). This time I went in, told him I had the suspicions I had TBD (which he too confirmed I had) and that my main concerns were to correct the shape and reduce the areolae, but I didn't mention the ways that he could possibly do it, I wanted to hear his raw and honest opinion without being influenced by me and my wishes. So he examined me, and told me what way he could do to correct it, and what do you know he said the exact words I wanted to hear. A periareolar mastopexy with a fat transfer to my left breast! I swear to God I was over the moon! Don't think I've had a bigger smile on my face than what I had on that day to be honest. So, I went with him, he also had accreditation upon accreditation, past work he had done upon other women was amazing, and he featured on TV quite a bit as well. He also was very mellow which put me at ease, answered any question I had (which was a lot haha) and all in all just a really lovely man. So I booked my op date, the 5th of March 2018.
So it is now my first day post-op and so far I'm feeling fairly well. My diet hasn't really been impacted, the pain is tolerable and I have plenty of meds and bandages etc. to use if I need them. The actual day of the surgery went very smooth, I was nervous of course but the staff in the clinic I cannot praise enough, all such lovely ladies who constantly reassured and attended to me. I have never undergone any type of operation so this was my first time and I was more nervous about the general anesthestic than anything else but I was out like a light and next thing I know I'm awake. My op lasted 1hr 15mins and the nurses said that they think I'll be happy with my results, they said it went very well. The pain yesterday was practically non-existent, my sleep wasn't the greatest as I have to sleep at an angle to reduce strain on my stitches but just use a neck pillow you'd take on the plane or use a v-pillow if you have one. But all in all, so far is good. I will try my best to keep my review consistent, but cannot guarantee daily posts as I'm in college and I also have a job. But if any girls have any questions they wish to ask me, don't be afraid to do so! [RS bleep]

Okay, quick update. All seems to be fine, changed my fat graft incision's dressings on my hips and the scars left there are bigger than what I initially thought, this has me a tad concerned as what scars will be left on my left breast now. I had a bit of a peek at my breasts but haven't taken off my sports bra since it went on and haven't dared to touch the dressings on them. There is quite a bit of bruising on my left breast but it's definitely now the same size as my right breast. There's still swelling but not as much, and there's a lot more movement in them. I am however a little unsure as to how low my areolae and nipples are, I also haven't a clue as to how big my areolae are now either. From looking down at my breasts I can see that the shape has improved, I just have no idea as to how the underboob will now look, the correcting of the shape was my main concern. The suspense is killing me, but at the same time I'm petrified in case I'm not happy with my results.

Okay, I caved in and had a peek. I’m pleasantly surprised so far. The left breast is now slightly bigger than the left but that is because of swelling it seems.

omg they look fab! they’re so full. I’ve seen other girls get fat grafting and it looked like nothing was done at all. I’m excited to see how you progress. they look so good already!

Since this post the swelling has went down and it doesn't look as full. I see the difference in breast size but those who I ask say they hadn't noticed it until I pointed it out. I've posted an update, would like to hear what you think of it as I've properly gotten myself down in the dumps because of it. :/
