35 days has passed since the surgery
My swelling is gradually going down But still I'm seeing a stranger
In the mirror with a nose tip so high but I'm hopeful and looking for the future
Tha major problem is my chin and lower lip,the left one third of my lip has a normal feeling but the rest of it and my chin is a combination of numbness,tingling,pins and needles and pain
I'm praying for all of these to go away

Hi! I think you look great. Can you post some before pictures so we can see the difference?
I think you look nice in this picture. I am confused. Do you regret not have double jaw surgery. My daughter has an asymmetric face and this is what they suggest too. They also said her face will change. She is just 16 and I do not have the nerve to put her through it. So are you wishing you had done it? Thanks!
I think you may be freaking out because you look different from how you looked before, but for an outsider, like me having seen you for the first time in my life I like your looks and see nothing wrong with your lips.

Hi I'm a 25 year old girl who had a asymmetric...

Hi
I'm a 25 year old girl who had a asymmetric face due to (a broken condyle when I was seven month old)
And after consulting a maxilofacial surgeon I decided to have the multiple surgeries he said he can do to make my face what I wanted
Being a medical intern and not using my knowledge and instinct I underwent a multiple surgery including left malar osteotomy,genioplasty,left enophtalmous correction,left belpharoplasty,and some procedures to even my jaw angels.
And here I am a puffy more uneven face whit a stich coming out om my skin one centimeter below my left eye
Not able to feel my cheek,my chin,my lover lip and the stretching around my left eye And regretful!
Oh and I had a rhinoplasty 6 years ago
And was very pleased with the result but (done by an ENT doctor)but some how this maxofac surgeon convinced me to do a revision on my nose too
I'm numb,frustrated, oedematose,not looking anything like my self)
I had consulted some other surgeon few years ago and he said he can do a double jaw surgery rotating my maxilla and so and a genioplasty,I am so regretful why I didn't go his way
What can I do now?

Thanks for sharing! Is this your after photo? I think you look like a really pretty lady, but I'm sorry you are not happy with things right now. I think you're going to have to be patient with recovery (easier said than done I know) and contact your surgeon with your concerns.

Dear angie Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts yes this is my I think 2weeks post op picture The worst thing is I don't look like my self I look in the mirror and I don't know this stranger. I know it's a very huge thing I went for And patience is the only option for me now I just hope this (I don't wanna say nightmare) just goes away and I become myself just a tad more symmetric again thank you for considering my review

I had double jaw surgery, it was a complete nightmare. My top and bottom front teeth are very loose now and I have numbness and continuous burning. be glad you didn't get the double jaw surgery.
