Should Have Done This Years Ago!!!

I had the most amazing experience with the IPL! I was a sun worshiper. Growing up in Florida it is all we did was lay out for hours. Well I am paying the price now. My cheeks were covered in age spots and became worse when I was pregnant.
I felt so gross and self-conscious. I decided to go for it and have an IPL spot treatment just on my cheeks. I sought the help of a practice called Bodywise Specialist.
Everything was flawless!! Brittany was amazing.
She explained in detail what was going to happen. I will be honest I was very afraid of what I saw after the procedure.
The procedure itself took only about maybe 10 to 15 minutes and was relatively painless. It did feel like I a rubber band snapping on my face and extreme heat. The sunburn feeling after was a little more intense than what I imagined but that subsided after about an hour.
I could already see my dark spots becoming darker just as she said they would however they didn’t go away in the amount of time that they told me they would instead of 3 to 5 days they ended up not flaking off for over two weeks.
Another aspect that scared me was the boxy looking appearance of the new skin underneath versus my old skin so I did go back for a touchup two weeks later to help smooth the appearance around my temples.
Overall it is the best treatment I’ve ever had on my face and I will most definitely go back and continue this. I do understand it is not permanent so the spots will return eventually.
