Ipl After 7 Weeks More Flushing, Redness, and Blotchy Skin with More Broken Capillaries

Sociable887477
7 weeks after having ipl on my face I have more flushing, blotchiness and my skin feels irritated and inflamed. I have been to the same provider a few years ago where I had a good result. This time they neglected to ask me if I am taking any light sensitive medications which I am. They have put me on doxycycline to try and help the inflammation. I now feel like I have real rosacea when before I had the procedure I just had some mild redness and broken capillaries that I hoped the ipl could help. I am very down about how my skin look and feels. I can't even put a heater anywhere near me as I immediately flush. I am also flushed around my nose and on my nose. I didn't have this before. Help please .Photos included

I am dealing with the same issues. About the same amount of time as you your face looks like what I’m going through. My doctors want me to get tested for skin Lupus I’m terrified because my redness looks like a malar rash which is a symptom of Lupus. I’m very healthy otherwise.

Also I only had two treatments one in April one in May a month apart. My redness started about mid June. I have been on two treamtments of antibiotics thinking it could be cellulitis and two treatments do steroid simultaneously for inflammation seems to calm it down but not completely

I went through the same thing, 7 weeks after the unprofessionally done treatment my skin is still irritated, red and botchy. The spa clinic takes no responsibility and charged me more money for the disasters they did to me because I could never continue with them whatsoever. This is England and I just learnt there is no regulation in England in this "beauty treatment" market. High-street beauty "clinics" are more than greedy and callous to turn against people in face of accident and complications. Their website claims a rosy picture of patient safety but in reality it is the opposite. I am very healthy so was my skin. 7 weeks into that damage, I didn't do anything specifically and could see a tiny little bit of improvement, but considering how long it takes, I am beyond worried.
