I have mild rosacea and I thouht it would be god to treat it with Ipl. I have done three sessions. After the first one I didnt notice much. My skin was like normal. Three weeks later I did my second session. Then strange tings started happening to my skin. I got rally bad acne that was so inflamed that it left deep scars chin. Even small pimpels left holes in my skin. I told this to the women Who treated me. She said that it had nothing to do with the ipl and I trusted her. I then did my third session. My face got so red and swollen in a way it is never been before. But she said that it was common. For days later I started to notice big changes in my skin texture. The whole face is covered in orange peel and Im very scared it will not dissapear. Has annons gotten better after Ipl damage?

I've known people who had amazing results but they had significant roseacea. If you have mild, it might be targetting poorly. Perhaps hold off on further IPL until your skin goes back to normal. If you've paid already, surely they can reschedule?

This whole industry is full of scammers. I went for minor capillaries on my nose & ended up with blistering & all sorts of unknowns. To this day I can’t get a straight answer if I have PIH, PIE, more vascular damage or staining. They just keep pushing more on you — they’ll do it until ur face is fried. That’s what kills me — after one treatment I was worried & they talked me into another that made it even worse! I’d say stop all treatments & find a cosmetic dermatologist who I’ll help u level our for a few months or a year.

I'm so sorry to hear that and I agree that the industry is [RS bleep]. They just wanna make money and dont care if they hurt people. Have your seen som improvement? Best wishes

You really need to go to a reputable office and trust me you will love IPL. I would recommend a medical practice where there are physicians overseeing these treatments.

I had ipl done on my mild rosacea and my face did not swell or go red. I went to a surgeons office, as was recommended by a dermatologist. She said never go to a spa, even if the deal sounds amazing. They are not qualified professionally to do it. My skin looks great but I think I need to do a few more sessions to be completely gone. Mine is for broken capillaries.

Not much has changed except the problem area is expanding. My skin looks disgusting now days and I think I need to accept it even if Im still crying and panicking about it. Im going to try emu oil but my hopes are low. The damage that has been done to my skin is to deep and to much.

I have very bad flushing rosacea and I've done IPL in the past with good results. But then about three years ago for some reason I bruised very badly and it scared me and I stopped going. Recently I was talked into trying it at another place and I was amazed at the difference. My rosacea is a lot better after just the one treatment. Anyway, the reason I'm telling you this is that from what I can see of your skin, I don't think it's from IPL. I also don't think your skin looks that bad. But it looks like you have the kind of rosacea that has pimples. Have you gone to a dermatologist and asked for their advice? I'm thinking a topical and maybe an antibiotic or accutane for the breakouts. I know how depressing it can be to hate the way you look. I hid for month and a half while I had those bruises. Good luck and don't give up. I'm sure there's something out there that will help.

I agree with you I also don't think her breakouts have snything to do with the ipl. She could also be experiencing hormonal acne.

It looks to me like pokiloderma or even atypical granuloma as there’s sort of a circle pattern. Both leave sort of chicken skin texture. I have both and that’s what it looks like. IPL is supposed to help. Maybe you didn’t notice the texture until the redness was removed?

Unfortunately it is permanent and you must accept it. It’s been 4.5 years now and nothing has improved my orange peal textured, acne, rosacea skin.
I'm sorry to hear that. I know what you mean. I hate my skin texture now days. I can look at an orange and just "hey, that's my skin. [RS bleep]!" Have your skin improved?
