Revision Time
WORTH IT$6,100
Hello everyone, I'm in the first stages of looking into a revision. I have an appointment next Thursday and I'm looking forward to it. I had no complications with my first augmentation, it all went great but I am very dissatisfied with my size. I feel like now that I've done it once, I know really know what it is that I want and I'm really hoping I can achieve my body goal! I feel kind of greedy at the same time, but I really want to be happy with my body :(
I'm once again looking at tons of pictures and reviews and trying to figure out exactly what I want so I can be sure to communicate clearly with the ps. I'm so confused about profiles. I currently have 213 cc's high profile silicone implants. I have no bottom boob, in fact the scars are pretty visible because there is no bottom pole fullness, it's all on top. What I really want is that bottom pole fullness, I want breasts that have a heaviness and that are full on bottom. I don't want boobs that look like I am always wearing a pushup bra. Does that mean I want moderate profiles? I'm so confused because high and even ultra high profile boobs on some people give lots of lower pole fullness?! I don't understand the profiles. I guess it's something to discuss at my appointment.

Contemplating revision
Hello everyone! I am contemplating a breast augmentation revision. I am unsatisfied with the size implants I ended up with and would like to go larger. I'm trying to figure out exactly what it is that I would like to end up and am looking for some visuals so that I can communicate with my surgeon what it is that I am hoping to achieve. Where do you all go for "wish pics"???

Hi everyone, I first joined Realself in 2014 when I was beginning my quest regarding augmentation. It was absolutely amazing and so helpful to join this site and receive all of the wonderful information from everyone. I underwent breast augmentation in May of last year and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. My self esteem has received such an incredible boost, I'm so happy I did it and I'm so happy that I joined realself so I could communicate with surgeons and other women on the same quest. I'm posting again because although I am thrilled with the decision I made and had the experience of working with a wonderful surgeon, I'm considering a revision in the future. My augmentation was not as big as I was hoping and it's left a little to be desired, I guess. My doctor said that my body size made it difficult to give me as big as an implant as many women would get, so I only ended up with 213 cc's (silicone high-profile). I guess I'm a little confused because I see other women on this site that are also barely over 5 feet in height and the same weight (105-110 lbs.) and they have received implants that are much over that, usually no less than 300 some cc's. I guess I'm not sure why I ended up with such a small size and it's a little distressing because this was something that I was hoping would be a one-time expense and surgery. My doctor said at my 6 week follow up appointment that I could go bigger next time. For the surgeons out there, without being able to measure or examine me, and just from looking at my pictures, do you think I could undergo a revision and receive a larger implant size? Thank you so much for any input from anyone. And again, I'm so thankful for my experience and for my doctor, I'm just exploring options.

I completely relate to what you are experiencing right now. I am 5'2, 105lbs. I had 255cc anatomicals. I know I am going to have revision to go bigger in the future, just not sure if I should do it now, or in 5 years. Still weighing the risk/benefit. My surgeon said I can definitely go bigger now since my tissue had already expanded. We talked about going to 400cc. Anyway, bestif luck to you, in your decision.

Thank you so much for your comment! It makes me feel better to know that there are others out there who feel similarly. It makes me sad that I'm not satisfied, I thought that this would be a one time cost (of hard earned money!!) and one time surgery. I had no idea I may have to have 2 augmentations to get me where I was hoping to be. However, we do need to trust that our surgeons have our best interests in mind. They are the experts and are taking in all kinds of considerations that we know nothing about. I try to give myself this reality check and it makes me feel better. My doctor is a world-renowned plastic surgeon who has won numerous awards and was voted one of the world's best doctors for women. I need to trust that when he said that I was just too small to go any bigger right now, that that's the way it is. Ugh. It's so hard, though, seeing other small women get so much bigger of an implant!
Anyway, thank you and good luck to you too! Also, I think you look great!

I was in the same boat. 5'2" and 105 and my first surgeon insisted on 225 overs. I thought they were too small also. After I developed cap con, I took the opportunity of a revision to go bigger with a new doc. He easily put in 350 unders. Check out my reviews and pics. (Btw, my second doc didn't think he could fit 350 but was willing to try on the table unlike my first doc. And they are perfect -- not too big and no further complications!!)

Mamamel1974, I didn't see your comment until today, thank you for responding! Your review and pictures are helpful, you look great!

Hey, I just checked out your other review and your boobs look great in clothes! Do you know what your breast width diameter (bwd) is? (You look like your ribcage is reeeeally tiny.) ;-) Maybe your surgeon chose the widest he could for you, which, if that's the case, in order to get more in there you'll need to increase projection (to UHP). I'm 5' but 120 lbs so I'm heavier than you but carry allllll my weight in my lower half. I also have really large shoulders for my height. I decided on 400cc HPs. I know, it sounds crazy but under clothes they actually get lost. I'd suggest going to some other surgeons and see what they say. Best of luck to you! :-)

Thank you so much! I don't know what my bwd is, I'm really curious to know. I know that my doctor said after examining and measuring me that high profile would be indicated for me because that was how more volume could be utilized in a smaller space. I went into this thinking that I didn't want high profile, but it makes sense now. Thank you for responding to me, it's so helpful and reassuring to hear from other girls who have gone through this journey too!
