Hi there like many of you I've been stalking this site for months. I had my consultation about a month ago, insurance approved after 2 weeks, and my pre op appointment was yesterday! I go in for my surgery on April 18th, in 4 days!! I had a C cup by 8th grade and was DDD by the time I graduated high school. My breasts continued to get bigger and bigger with each child. My husband and I decided we are done having children after our son was born last year. I finished breastfeeding him and now am ready for my much needed reduction! I'm currently what I believe am a 36F hoping for a large B or small C cup. I am 5'6' 160lbs. I also have scoliosis of the spine so my large pendulous breasts contribute to the pain of my back, neck and shoulders way more than it should. I have indentations in my shoulders from the weight of my breasts as well. I can't wait for my procedure but I also cannot help but feel nervous! I'll keep y'all updated as I go! Wish me luck!

I was a 38 DD with saggy floppy boobs. Key to surviving the first week is the use of ICE PACKS and regular analgesia. My girls are now 1 month post op and they look like they did when I was 16. I am so happy!!!!!

Best of luck, I'm 2 days post op and already love my new boobies. If had a mommy makeover and it can tell you the pain from the reduction compared to the tummy is easy peezy (hardly any pain) just swollen and period like soreness.

Yay that's good to hear! I'm nervous about having to parent while also recovering! Luckily my mom is staying with us for a few weeks to help me out :-)

You'll definitely need her mainly bc the meds you'll be on. My kids are 12 & 14 so their pretty self sufficient. My oldest will have to stay at his grandma's bc I can't drive him to and from school. I also have 2 step children 10 and 12 who live with us full time but their at their grandma's this weekend while I recover. I've pretty much just slept thru my recovery, I wish you well

Yay! So happy for you! I am in the process of getting a reduction. If my insurance says yes, (my surgeon said she things they will!) then I am having surgery in May. I too would like to be a full B or small C, but I will honestly be happy with anything smaller than what I got now! lol Do you mind me asking, what insurance do you have? I have Anthem BCBS of Illinois and I have been told that it is a pretty good insurance. But that is just the rumor on here. I too have been reading on here for months before I finally made my consultation appointment. Best of luck to you on the 18th! I can't wait to hear an update :)

I have BCBS of Indiana and it was super easy. My surgeon didn't even ask for or send records from previous dr/chiropractor for proof. All he did was measure, take pics and send a letter and I was approved just by that!

Awesome! That must have been such a relief for you :) My surgeon and her nurse both said from past experience, they think my insurance will say yes! I am going to keep calling them each week until I hear an answer. I've read that they usually make a decision pretty fast, it just takes a while then for the letter to arrive. Good luck with surgery

Hey guys well surgery didn't go exactly as planned. It was supposed to be an outpatient surgery but it started at 2pm and took about 3.5 hours and while in recovery my blood pressure was extremely low. They called it hypotension. I was in recovery about 2 hours with no signs of improvement so they gave me a shot in the leg of ephedrine. After about another hour in recovery my blood pressure got closer to normal range but was still considerably low. I was extremely nauseous and could not keep my eyes open for more than a few minutes, they decided to admit me. After getting to the post surgical room I was giving some nausea medicine via the IV and fell right asleep. Was up every few hours until today about 6 am where they got me some crackers and sprite and had me walk to the restroom. It's been a slow climb today -pretty nauseous, dizzy and sore. Since I was here overnight I just saw the Dr a few minutes ago and they will be taking my drains out and discharging me soon. Was not expecting such a bad recovery experience since it was supposed to be an outpatient procedure but I am happy they had me stay I cannot imagine being home with how i felt. I only got a SUPER quick peek of my new breasts, I'll add the photo for you guys to check out but so far I think I'm really going to love them!
