NOT WORTH IT!

Just get braces lol whoa... the craziest things occurred but still worth considering. One I do not know what my doctor was doing... it was only supposed to take 1 year and 3 months... I was almost 2 years in... 2 and a half years in..? Then my Doctor died!!!!! His practice pretended they would continue... for a couple months continued having appointments then abruptly closed. They stole everyone's money, there was no way to sue them... they were an LLC and filed bankruptcy. The lesson is... do not pay in cash... despite any "discounts" promised. Invisalign seems fake and a total shot in the dark with the treatment plan. The next doctor I went to told me he had no idea what my doctor who died was doing and abandoned his treatment plan. The new doctor told me 6 months max. Mind you at this point it's been at least 2 years I've been doing this for what was supposed to be a 1 year and 3 month plan. This treatment ended up taking a solid YEAR. My take away is that with invisalign, it takes significantly longer, and despite all the bragging of using technology and showing me what me teeth will look like it total fabrication. Pay less, do braces and it'll probably take less time and you'll have more concrete results. My bite was normal prior to this... and the main reason I had them on so long was trying to correct it to be normal again..... I developed TMJ and to this day my bite still feels "off". This little spaces developed that you can visibly see when I smile and one's you can't see that capture food no matter what I eat. I am still not pleased with the end result but I after almost 3.5 years, and tons of money. I AM DONE.

Overall review from PAIN, to immediate results to good luck! 15 trays total
I wore braces as a teenager for 2.5 years and my teeth weren't as awful as others who wore them for a shorter period but whatever. I religiously wore my retainer on the top and had a permanent bottom retainer. Despite this, a tooth on the bottom began to shift and a space was left there with the permanent retainer intact, relatively soon after getting my braces off but my orthodontist told me don't worry about it and I was not assertive because I was like 18 or 19. I ignored it but it got worse over the years. I also started getting spaces in the back of my molars and food would get stuck, so I opted for Invisalign (in my late 20s) before my teeth got worse. I was told the treatment process would take 15 months, which surprised me because the only problem I had were spaces in my back molars and that one bottom tooth. I was told I'd have 15 trays and I change them every 10 days. Got them January 31, 2017 and estimated completion of trays will be the end of June 2017.The first 2 trays were hell and I was regretting my decision. Excruciating pain to remove them, pain to eat even soft macaroni or potatoes in soup hurt like hell. Throbbing pain throughout the night and day for 3 weeks at least. I hated how they looked, I felt like I was drooling, it sliced into my tongue (make sure you tell them to polish it before even wearing them home). They gave me a lisp and I am speech-language pathologist but by day 4 it wasn't so bad with lots of effort and by the 3rd week, my speech was pretty normal. It's completely normal now. It took about a month before I could eat without major pain in my molars (since that was the target teeth being corrected, I am assuming that's why the pain was so severe). I also regularly suck out spit from the retainers, in order for spit to not collect and be blatantly obvious as far as collecting in the retainers. I soak them in mouthwash with water when I am eating, which helps them taste minty and I brush them with the mouthwash soaked in the trays. I don't know why people claim to have bad breath with them... they must not have good oral hygiene to begin with. You can't see them in pictures unless it's right in your face (they actually make my teeth look whiter in photos), and even then it's not obvious unless you're really looking. This may vary depending on how many attachments you have and how crooked your teeth are... my teeth are already straight, so I think that helps make it less obvious a tray is over your teeth. I have a total of 6 visible attachments on my top teeth and 10 attachments total (2 on my bottom molars). I feel like if I had attachments on my front teeth and A LOT of visible ones, I'd just get braces or clear braces.... because you do notice the attachments.
By the time I switched to my 4th tray (30 days when i put them on) the bottom tooth space was gone! :) One thing no one told me about was as your teeth shift, gaps will be created but with another tray corrected. That initially scared the crap out of me, especially because a gap in my front teeth appeared. I am on my 6th tray now out of 15. This obviously isn't going to take 15 months, but when I asked the tech why my treatment says 15 months, she said the orthodontist will look at my teeth then determine if I need MORE trays. Which is stupid.... the 15 tray thing is just an estimate, and was not explained to me and this is a lot of money compared to someone who wears these for a longer period. So far I am pleased with the results. The major gaps in my back molars are still majorly there but it's been 2 months. The visible gap is gone, and the smaller spaces in my back teeth seem to be closing or closed. I've had people at work not even notice that I have them. I've actually been complimented on my smile with them in, which I thought was hilarious because despite getting used to them, I still hate them lol but it's still a better alternative compared to braces for me. The commitment to these are insane. Recommended wear is 22 hours. So you really have to eat, floss, brush and put them back in. Also, when you keep them out for too long (maybe an hour or more-say you're at dinner or brunch so you're eating slower), the attachments will form painful blisters on the inside of your lip, like when you first get the Invisalign. I ate hot cheetos and it stained the attachments that are the color of your teeth. I drink beer and white wine with my trays in. Invest in a denture box thing from Walmart. I put my trays in those when I am eating at work and I have travel size mouth wash, floss and toothbrushes in my car and lunch mailbox. Anyway, this is super long but I hope helpful. I didn't do nearly enough research because I didn't want to chicken out and not get them. Do your research, go to several consultations and don't let them pressure you into signing up with them because they're giving you a "deal". I felt like I was at a car dealership! Good luck!! I am pleased with my results thus far and have gotten used to how they look, despite wanting to cry when I first got them because I felt they looked so stupid lol they don't look stupid, you're over reacting because you're not used to it, no one really notices or cares :)
