WORTH IT$3,800
I made my Invisalign initial consultation in Sept 2016 not realising the journey l was going on!
First appointment and orthodontics was not on the table rather intensive dental/hygienic work to deal with gum health.
My NHS dentist really didn’t do me favours and when l regularly at appointments ask about bleeding his advice was less than helpful.
Then there was the extraction of my freaky tooth that was growing at an angle (do teeth grow?) that was a fun time!! Having to go for x2 visits and see a surgeon to slice gums!
After the gum healed l had x2 sessions with the hygienist for a deep cleaning and once again had to wait for gum healing.
However 14 June had hygienist & dentist check up and my first appointment for Clincheck and Invisalign full is scheduled- 12 July and l cannot wait!!
This has been my goal and whilst lm under no illusion that l will have a long journey ahead it’s now real change will occur! However getting the foundations and my gum health to where it is now was absolutely the right thing to do.
The dental practice has been great very professional but then again it’s private and lm paying for the privilege.
I’m lucky my lovely husband agreed to pay for this treatment as birthday/Christmas presents but to date we’ve spent £1500 and Invisalign has yet to commence!
Roll on 15 July

I was so excited for today - Dr Ali was well aware given my emails and questions! He’s also my regular dentist and has helped improve my oral hygiene so much over last 8 months long with the hygienist Sam Hill. I cannot sing their praises loudly enough. I trust Ziad implicitly and know that he’s a perfectionist therefore lm excited for the journey we are about to embark on!!
So lve had lots of close up photos taken, new X-rays and impressions of my teeth made.
I have an over jet bite which he will attempt to correct & lve been advised that l may have to use elastics to assist. I’ve been estimated 13 months treatment at cost of £3800 (£300 extra if l want permanent retainers) this includes my treatment, removable retainers and teeth whitening kit.
I’m going into this with my eyes open l know it will be unpleasant uncomfortable & sore. I know that it will be a pain to eat, that l cannot eat/drink with aligners in and l cannot expect Hollywood teeth but it’ll be so great. It’s likely l will need IPR on my bottom teeth as there’s crowding which l guess will be unpleasant! But the outcome will be SOOOO WORTH IT!!
I’m sharing my before pics - l have to say these make me feel uncomfortable & anxious sharing them but soon l will have update pictures to compare and note the changes ????
Next apt I review of clincheck 3D Images and outcomes & my more detailed plan including number attachments.
Next appointment 2 August 2018
