How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Nightly retainer wear
I've been in my retainer for about 5 months now. I only wear them at night. I normally wake up with a sore mouth because of them. I seem to be biting down on my jar leaving a mark while sleep. Guest I'll have to get use to it.
Trays with attachment
Adding a photo of my trays with attachments. They weren't really noticeable in pictures but they are noticeable in person if a person is within 2 feet. You eventually get use to the attachments.
Forgot to add that photo in my initial review. Couldn't figure out a way to update it.

I Hated Every Minute of my Treatment
I got invisalign through my dentist. He's a great dentist and invisalign does the majority of the work. I was told it should take about 14 months to correct my teeth. We ended up stopping at the 2 year mark. My initial cost was $5,500. I also had to pay $400 for the retainers which I thought was included with the initial cost. I changed trays every 2 weeks.
Things I disliked
-The initial molding to get initial treatment plan. They suggested 19 trays to fix my teeth. Around the 9th tray, my dentist re-scanned using a digital scan picture taker which was 10 times better than the gooey mess he used for the first molding. Visalign came back with 14 new trays to fix my teeth. I completed all 14 trays but my overbite was still not as expected. Another re-scan and 10 more trays suggested. At the end of those trays, teeth still not as expected. I think he was over it and didn't really want to proceed any further & neither did I.
-I had attachments on almost every tooth. Food got stuck in them all the time. You constantly needed to brush & floss. I also do had a hugh attachment put on to pull down a tooth that stuck out and I had to put a rubberband on it to pull down a tooth.
-The trays leave welps in your mouth & sore spots. Gums were irritated and I had to trim almost every tray to get rid of the irritation.
