My Invisalign Journey - Revision 4: Tray 3 of 7
I am being treated for a cross bite. My first set of retainers began with 23 trays. My first revision I completed 17 of 19 trays before being rescanned for my second revision of 14 trays. My third revision was 5 trays. And my fourth revision is 7 trays which I will complete on 4/15/25. That will be 28 months of Invisalign treatment; I was told 9 months but knew it could be more. I wear my aligners except to eat and started wearing them for 10 days and then bumped up to 14 days. I am willing to do whatever revisions may be needed to get my teeth/bite perfect. I paid $5800 and will definitely get my monies worth!
My Invisalign Journey - First revision: Tray 11 of 19
I started my journey on 1/4/23. I finished my first 23 trays and am now on tray 11 of 19 of my first revision. 80 more days to go and I will happily do another revision if I am not quite where I want to be. I am so happy with the result so far and would recommend Invisalign to anyone at any age who has ever thought about fixing their smile. I am amazed at the comparison photos and what a healthy smile really looks like.
My Invisalign Journey - Tray 14 of 23
I have had a cross bite all my life. My top teeth were almost perfect therefore I never had braces as a child. As I grew up I lived with the bite and was not really affected by it. But at 60, I chipped the same front tooth three times. As a songwriter I was also noticing lisps and speech impediments when I sang. I have had a cross bite all my life and realized that along with the normal shifting of teeth as we age that maybe it was time to do something about it. Not only that, I would then have a proper bite and a retainer to wear the rest of my life to retain the perfect arch and smile. Seemed like a win win. So on Jan. 4, I got my first set of trays and have been wearing them religiously. I don't find wearing them a bother at all and I have had people compliment me on having them. They make me feel younger! Progress seems so slow and there are times when my teeth seemed to look worse than when I started but I am noticing a difference. The Invisalign app lets you take pics of your teeth and you can compare your progress. Today I am starting to see real results! In the attached photo, Tray 14, on left which I started today and tray 4 on right (started 2/7). The biggest issue I have is the cross bite and my bottom and top midlines don’t match. The next 10 trays, or 100 days, will be here before my 62nd birthday. I have no regrets on choosing Invisalign.
