How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Invisalign

I'm still going through treatment, but wanted to post a partial review. Is it worth it? So far it seems to be. I've been treated for a little over a year and while my teeth weren't horrible, I was self conscious about some crookedness and a "snaggle" tooth on top.

The attachments on your teeth are necessary to really move the teeth around and "clip" the retainers onto your teeth. Your teeth will definitely ache, which means it's working, but will only be as effective as you are at consistently wearing your aligners.

Here's one big issue- I get cold sores. I had never had so many cold sores as when I first started my Invisalign. I felt so horrible about myself. You absolutely should talk to your doctor and orthodontist about it ahead of time and get some prophylactic meds. I began taking a few pills a day or so before I'd switch to my next set of aligners and that seemed to help.

I'll post photos when treatment is finished and the attachments are removed.
