One Year Post Op

One year post op and very happy! They have healed perfectly with no issues. They are fairly soft and they bounce and jiggle. Not exactly like a real breast - but I feel that I achieved a fairly natural looking and feeling result for having almost no breast tissue to work with!
I love the size. If I wear an unlined bra no one even notices I’ve had an augmentation. But I can wear a push up bra if I want the big cleavage look.
It’s been an emotional journey but I can say definitely worth it. I feel much more comfortable in my skin.
My scars are still a bit pink however my
surgeon said they continue to fade for years until eventually Barely noticeable.
p.s. the bralette I’m wearing is a parade bralette in a size small. Their bras are amazing and so comfy! I am measuring a 32D-DD at VS and in other brands vary in size from 32D to 30F. I would have thought pre augmentation that those sizes are huge but I really do not feel my breasts are “large” just natural to my frame!

Hi!
I’m in a VERY similar situation as what you just went through. I’m a little bit shorter and weigh a few pounds less, but have an athletic build and have the same BWD as you. I was dead set on the 415cc, however my surgeon is making me very aware of the risks of bottoming out with the heavier implant.
Im curious, how are your implants now since your last post? Are you still happy or have they bottomed out?
Thank you!

You look great! I’ve appreciate reading through your updates as you are so thorough and honest! I would love to hear another update from you now even a year later! Are they softer? Do they feel a part of you? Thank you!

Not much change from 8-10 months. I’ve just noticed now they are slightly softer. Feeling great about their size and shape overall, and I can do push-ups normally again finally!!
Few things:
A good bra does wonders! I found some wireless bras at Victoria’s Secret that are super comfy. I avoid wired bras now as there isn’t any need for shaping anymore and they just aren’t comfy. It’s either these or sports bras. My size is ranging from 32d-32dd depending on style at vs. Hasn’t changed since the start but bras fit way differently now than they did at 3-6 months.
Mine do not feel like natural breasts ????. Don’t get me wrong I love them and they feel nice in their own way, but I do hope over time they will soften a bit more to feel a tad more natural. I do have some hope there as I’ve read they can soften more even 2 years post surgery. Right now when I stand they are pretty firm, but they have started to bounce and jiggle a bit, and they are soft when I lean over. I know this is due to not having much natural breast tissue and going as large as I realistically could.
They are still not completely even. My right breast was always smaller and that breast has not dropped down as naturally as the other. It’s not that noticeable but I hope over time they will even out completely. If not? Well no two breasts are identical!
I feel like through this whole process, having a sense of humor has helped a lot! From the very beginning coming home feeling like I’m dying for a week straight, drugged up and wondering what I just paid 10k to do, through all of the healing and change - the fact is my boobs are silicone, and having a sense of humor about it makes things a lot lighter and more fun. Ive had moments where I wondered if it was all worth it and moments where I felt jealous of women with natural breasts. In the end? No regrets!! It’s just a weird emotional journey fo the first year to be honest! And it feels so much lighter and more fun when you stop taking yourself too seriously and just have fun having big boobs!

Thank you for all you posted. I’m 3 weeks out and my boobs are ugly. Really high up and square. I call them SpongeBob boobs. I’m hoping I will have the dropping and fluffing going on soon, your posts give me hope that I will be ok.

I just want to add some random odd things I’ve learned and my experience with my implants for and ladies curious! Note: I started with a very small amount of tissue and went as large as I realistically could so this is my personal experience with round cohesive gel implants! For the record - totally worth it but there are some weird things about the experience!
They look odd when you flex…and feel odd! This takes some getting used to.
It takes a LONG time to regain full pectoral strength back. I’m still struggling to do full push-ups again.
They get cold easily! I’ve read this is due to being further away from your body.
Your nipples will stand at attention a lot more than they used to. For me it’s almost all the time.
They fall to the sides into your armpits while laying down which can look and feel a bit odd and unnatural.
It’s a weird sensation moving them around on top of your rib cage. It feels pretty much as you would imagine with a couple of foreign objects inside your tissue! This also makes push-ups bras a little uncomfortable for awhile.
You might actually still need a push-up bra to get the cleavage look (depends on your anatomy). I’ve read lots of women still need them for cleavage - me included.

Yes yes yes. To everything you said! I am four months post op coming up and have been struggling with everything you just mentioned thinking I am abnormal. (The flexing, laying down, cleavage) Thank you for this post and you look fabulous!

Thanks! This site helps a lot in reading others comments!! Turns out it's all pretty normal! It's honestly such a different experience. Some days I love them and realize how much more comfortable I am in my skin and clothing, and other days I start to feel silly for having these silicone objects in my body that don't quite look or feel real. I find it's a weird relationship with them and my body that I think really takes some getting used to physically and emotionally.

My surgeon used 415cc ssf implants also. Just curious, are yours mid, low or high profile? At the moment mine seem flat and squarish but not too high because the expanders already had created a pocket.
Your changes over time in the photos give me hope for my final outcome!
Thanks!
