Injected Botox While Sedated/ Unconscious
I went for breast aygmentation, eye filler and botox July 23, 2026. On the way home after the surgery I phoned the clinic to ask when do I get me fillers and botox and the lady told me they already gave it to me and they took photos. I was confused but I was still groggy from the anethesia that I just did not ask anymore questions. 2 days later i had developed ptosis. They said it should wear off with time and prescribed eye drops. On my bday I did not meet any friends bc of how I looked but my family have surprised me anyway so gladly I have celebrated it. My family was worried with my eyes but I assure them it will go away soon. But, how soon I did not know.
July 28, 5 days later, my right eyelid is totally shut i cannot even open it anymore. the eye drops is of no help. Dr Vitenas himself admitted to have injected me the botox and fillers while I was unconscious and laying flat still sedated from the anesthesia from breast augmentation. As a nurse myself I know fillers and botox injections should not be given while patients are unconscious/ generally sedated and laying flat.
Aug 13, 3 weeks (21 days) ptosis had plateaud, i still don’t know how long but i have been missing 2 weeks of work now. It has affected me physically, mentally and financially. I have days were I was crying in my apartment and this is the only way I can let it out.
As far as the breast augmentation he had done, to be fair I think Dr Vitenas did good. And, also I want to say that Dr Vitenas spoke to me via Zoom and owned his mistake and apologized. That really helped.
