Ruined my Skin

This treatment made me breakout like never before in my life! 3 days after my treatment I had so many whiteheads and inflammation my doctor gave me antibiotics. It’s been a few weeks and my skin is slowly clearing but it will definitely scar. Now my skin looks bad and is more saggy than before after one treatment. Waste of money!!!

Geez, you poor thing - I thought I was the only one, but I had exactly the same experience. It took a long time for my skin to clear. There is permanent scarring - it looks like faint train tracks on my skin - which can luckily only be seen when under overhead light though. One thing that helped me get back to (almost) normal was a few Sculptra treatments. This also helps with sagginess. Also, once my skin was healed, I started doing my own microneedling with human growth factors; that really helped with the scars, my skin looks radiant Hang in there - the additional sagginess is caused by the inflammation and should get back to normal once you‘re healed. Wishing you all the very best!!!

What products are you using with your own micro needling? Is it a roll on device you’re using? Looking an infini have had micro needling and CO2 laser in the past for wrinkles and aging

Hi Sara, so sorry to hear you‘re going through this so soon before your big day. The track marks will definitely clear up. Microneedling will help, retin-a, vitamin C applied topically and some patience. Possibly 3-4 months. Hang in there, it WILL go away. Sending you strength from Switzerland.

Hi dear, I use AnteAge MD microneedling solution. I find it very effective and they have various clinical studies on their product. Highly recommend.

It took 2 months for my skin to get back to normal but I thought it was worth the wait. The infini tightened up my neck skin and got rid of the fine lines around my mouth. I was and still am pleased with the results a year and a half later. The first 2 months were freaky though.

Is it okay to send you my pics and you let me know if yours was as bad as mine? I'm on day three and have severe scratch like marks all over.

Sure. That's what I had too. It looked like I'd been scratched all over my neck and face and there were lots of little dots plus white heads everywhere. And it was red for a long time. It was totally gross and very upsetting, but after about 2 months all of that cleared up and my skin looked so much better. The wrinkling in my neck at the Adam's apple was gone and all these lines around my mouth were very diminished and most of them were gone. At this point it's been over 2 1/2 years and I'm definitely seeing the wrinkling coming back. I'm going for a full facelift next time. I think when you look at the cost of Infini versus how long the results last, a facelift is more economical in the long run. Facelifts are supposed to last about 10 years. The Infini was good for about 2 years or so but I had to have 2 rounds of it so it was close to $4,000. A $16,000 facelift that lasts 10 years is a better deal. Hang in there. The scary phase will pass and you will like your results. It just takes patience.

How is your skin now?

It actually cleared up with the antibiotics and some other medications. It took a few months. Luckily no scarring.

I am going through this now, it's been a nightmare because I scar so easily, Did you have red patchy parks past day 7? I have blotchy red patches everywhere. What skincare did you use and antibiotics? I've been so so upset over this breakout infini gave me. any advice to speed up the healing would be much appreciated!

I normally don’t post anything but I wanted to share my experience. I am about 10 days past my second genius RF treatment. The first one was horrible recovery and I almost didn’t go back for number 2. I never break out but I do mark and scar easily. The settings were a little too high and it took me about two weeks to even slough off those “coffee grounds”. I had bad bad bad bad white pustules all over my chin and I was freaking out. I did get better but it was way more downtime than I expected. At about day 3-4, I compounded my own cream in my hand. I used a little less than a pea size drop of differin, a pea size drop of cortisone 10 and about a dime sized drop of la roche posay Toleriane once at night. During the day I used a small amount of cortisone 10 mixed with toleriane. I only needed to do this for a few days and then it was straight Toleriane moisturizer. When I got to about week 3, I was able to use skinceuticals CE Ferulic in the am followed by their hyaluronic in the am and pm. It literally took me about 4-5 weeks to get back to “normal” and I could still see a few pigment marks. I wasn’t going to go back but I asked if the settings could be lower and was told yes. I expected to have issues still though just because the first was so bad. Lower settings must have been helpful because I didn’t have anything near the first experience. I did not touch my face the first 24 hours and next day I gently cleansed and used Toleriane twice a day. By day three I could use skinceuticals CE ferulic and have not had any issues. I maybe got two teeny tiny little whiteheads on my chin-that’s it. I have super super sensitive skin and I think the genius gives an amazing result, but I think sometimes the default settings may be too much. I can still see a big difference even though I did not “suffer” as much the second time. I’m on track for number three at the four week mark.
