Please help! Bad scarring from electrolysis. Tried Infini for the first time

I have scarring and discoloration on the bottom half of my face from poorly administered electrolisys (at a separate clinic) for 1.5 years (2 years ago). Now I am left with very bad, noticeable scars. For the last 6 months I tried 3 sessions of ematrix (at another clinic).

I am desperate to see results and make my skin as even as possible. I am very depressed and don't know what else to do. Any insight or help is very much appreciated.

Last week I underwent my first Infini laser and can't see results yet. I know I need to take my time. This week I'm beginning retin-a per the doctor's instructions. I broke out with little pimples in the days following the procedure. With the antibiotics the doctor provided, it has gotten much better.

I see the scarring much more when makeup is applied. Any tips are very much appreciated in regards to makeup, skin care and treatments.

Thank you!

Today with makeup it seems as though it's getting better. I felt like it was much less noticable and people were making more eye contact with me. Definitely less self conscious today. Still, very red with hyperpigmentation and another breakout.

Feels like even with makeup, scarring is bad and pronounced. Wish I could feel less self conscious about this but it's so depressing. I feel like this is what everyone stares at when they talk to me. Please help!

I would start Retin A and hydroquinone. It is still early, and only one treatment. Infini will not help with hypo/hyperpigmentation. It is hard to tell what you are trying to get better because there is no before picture. Redness should be treated if it persists much longer.

Thank you! I really appreciate your response. I feel like the Retin A isn't doing much, may need to try hydroquinone. However, the issue is with makeup on top of the teeny tiny scars it makes the entire lower portion of my face appear darker. It's extremely embarrassing and I can feel people staring. I wish I knew what to do here. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm posting pictures on how my face looks today at the office with makeup. Super embarrassing.

Im sorry to say hun, that during your healing process, you were probably not told that your skin will be more photosensitive, and it is important to wear sunscreen for 48 hours after treatment and avoid the sun 24 hours before. Hyperpigmentation is one of the hardest things to remove.
