I had my Stitches taken out and the health of my Skin looks like it is improving The excisions scars are barely noticeable compared to what was there before I honestly believe that is because of the PRP micro needling done 4 weeks prior It just seems like this time around they healed so much better I definitely recommend PRP Micro needling to any one who is have having Excisions or I ill subscissions done I will post some pics in a moment

I had 90 excisions+ Glycolic peels when I was like 26 Followed by a full Co2 Lazer it was heart breaking My expectations were maybe unrealistic I sapose however It was really expensive- My acne cleared up though and there was a like a 30 40 improvement but not $5000 worth and thats not including what I paid for the excision Today my approach is a bit different (There is not one Procedure that is going to fix my face and I walk away Fixed!!) Cystic acne to my degree needs continuous maintenance, find a doctor that will work with you on regular basis, I see mine twice a Month and I get two procedures a Month and I get to try different things and alternate things like for instance when I first started seeing him We started off with Dot Lazer and Peels - My skin responded horribly that Lazer, so we switched to Radio Freqency - Photo facails + Hydra Facials w extractions I love that Facial btw My Doctor says this It took my face a long time to get Damaged by Acne its not going to be fixed in one shot That makes since to me because the Co2 Lazer was so abrasive and I was under the illusion it would fix everything and I would walk away and be done( Not with cystic acne! it is continuous maintenance and so far its been a year and half with non abrasive procedures and my skin has never looked so good but it is gradual and takes time but the results have been so worth it:) Ask your Doctor if he offers the acne club it is where you see your Doctor twice sometimes 3 times a Month for a affordable Fee this allows you to be able to alternate your treatments my Doctor said that is because fighting Acne as sever as mine is like working out and we have to switch up sometimes when we stop getting results and its continuous if you want to keep your skin healthy -its a commitment but worth it if you are patient He told me 3 years and its been a year and half and know my skin is already 50 % improved there were times tho in the first year I was like am I wasting my Money? My Boyfriend kept telling me no he was noticing an improvements but like I said its subtle in the beginning I can definitely see now but still have a long way to go and I have accepted the fact that it will be life long maintenance eventually tho My doctor says visits will be a couple of times a year mabe three instead of a Month unless I want to treat myself to facials - I tell my Doctor all the time it took my face 20 years to get this way whats a commitment of 3 years with him:) I am so greatful for him I have cried at his office a few times:)

Youre absolutely right. Im so happy for you. I am going through the same process and its so comforting to know that Im not alone and that like you I can feel a lot more comfortable in my own skin in time. The improvement is gradual and subtle but substantial when you're in good hands

Hey any updates on how the excisions are healing up are you using micropore tape over the excisions ?

I am healing Great! Way better then any of the other times I really think its because of the PRP Micro Needling I did 4 Weeks prior:) NO I have never heard of that tape, I am using a Silicone Gel

ok please do consider the tape its called micropore it helps with wound healing by providing support. What kind of results would you say have achieved so far?

It is getting there I will post a pic soon:) My Sever cystic acne is cleared up and my scars are improving:) I am still suffering from Milia acne and black heads though it is frustrating Nothing works but extractions and as soon as I get them removed I just get more I have tried Peels Photo Facials Hydra facials everything I very rareley ware Make up any more since I work from home and I take really good care of my skin use all the right products.. Sooo Frustrating Could use any advice

What kind of Scars do you Have? Rolling scars? Ice Pick Scars? Depending on what kind of scars your acne caused, Lazer alone may not help.. Curious to know. Remember it is a continuous maintenance and no magical procedure I wish there was I feel your pain.. I have had a ton of different procedures let me know what kind of scars you have I might be able to give you some advice and save you some Money:)

Andrew I have an almost identical story, except I have had 5 pixel laser treatments in 2008 which initially I thought worked somewhat, but now at least to me, my skin looks more bumpy than ever. I can't stand to look at my reflection, I avoid pictures, even with my children, because I can't stand to see myself. I don't know where to go or what to try next...

Guys I know how you feel and thousands more as well. I know what its like to avoid mirrors or hharsh lighting. its a frustration that cant be put in words really. Only those who go through it know. I rremember praying for my cystic acne to subside only to face the nightmare of dealing witg the damage left behind: the scarring. All i can say is that a good dermatologist and lots of love from friends and family got me back on track. Im not so hard on myself anymore. I can feel confident and dare I say pretty sometimes. In the end, your worth doesnt depend on how clear or smooth your face is. After you know tthat, the rest is easier to take on . Technology is taking off and now there are so many options, theres hope. But in my case, tthere's the lack of money (sniff sniff). So im saving up whilst not givng up hope. All the best to you all

Try Filler and PRP Micro needling If your scrars are deep then some punch excissions might need to be done first Its a long road so be patient My Doctor tels me it took my face a long time to get this way and one procedure is not going to correct it so its a process Best advice i can gve is find a Doctor that will work with you over a period of time and let you alternate procedures until you find one that your skin responds too My Doctor Offic ehas what they cal the Acne Club which allows me to have two procedures a Month for a affordable fee
