I chose to have liposuction on my chin, inner thighs, upper and lower abs, and love handles/flanks because I was sick of carrying around a spare tire and hating myself for it. Before kids I was always in great shape naturally, and that's what was so hard I guess cause no matter how hard I worked at it I couldn't get even close to my prebaby body.

You look awesome! I have very similar issues to you, that fat bulge on the front of my stomach that just sits there! I am in great shape otherwise. I am considering the exact same areas. Would you do it all again the same or make any changes? I can't believe you could care for such little kids the day after! I have three kids, 11, 9 and 6 and was trying to figure out what to do with them :) Was it a pretty good experience or anything horrible?? I am terrified. Have been contemplating this for 6 years and have even had it scheduled twice! I don't want to go through another summer with my roll! Any other info you think would be helpful would be much appreciated!

Hi Cupcakecream :) So far I've had a really good experience. I've read a lot of posts about the complications people have been having, and so far I haven't had any of the issues others have. I was pretty nervous too, but I can tell you it was the best decision I've made for myself ever. I am so happy I did it! I think what has helped me was I didn't have any dreams of being a size 6 or weighing 50lbs lighter or anything. From what I can tell, I'm still the same dress size (maybe a little smaller), but the clothes I do have fit great and I look great in them. I also feel a whole lot sexier! I don't have an innertube around my body, I have an hourglass figure. I've been thinking of doing this ever since I had my son 4.5 years ago. It took me a while to save the money up. I was ready to do it in 2012 had the money put down and everything and then I found out I was pregnant. I'm glad things happened they way they did. I have a beautiful baby girl, my tubes tied :), and I got one more area (my chin) for $3000 dollars less than the first doctor quoted me at. I completely understand how you feel about your roll. Not being happy with what I saw in the mirror really affected me too. I didn't want to do things like pedicures or buy new clothes because I felt that the real problem was by waist/thighs/chin and if that didn't change everything else wasn't gonna help. I was depressed and sad. If you have the money to do it, I say do it girl! You deserve it for yourself. I hope you have a great experience too. I bet once you do go through with it, you'll wonder why you wasted 6 years on worrying. Its not as bad as some people make it out to be. Seriously. BTW, I had a helper the day after my surgery, so I wasn't doing it completely by myself but since then I've been on my own (with hubby's help of course).

Procedure and Recovery

I read a lot of posts and feel that maybe I could help someone who is considering liposuction by detailing my experience so far......
Dr. Robey put me under for the procedure which I was happy about. The hardest part was waking up totally out of it and nauseated. I saw results immediately especially in my chin and waist. I look younger which is always a plus!!! I had some pain, but nothing totally incapacitating. I was able to care for my two children 4 & 1.5 the next day. To describe the pain...something a little worse a really hard workout pain on day 2. I have some lumps which is to be expected. I bought a hand massager at CVS and use it work out the tight spots from time to time. I don't think lymphatic massages are necessary as I've seen posted by others a hand massager does great. I think pain in subjective and different for everyone, but for as much as I had done -I feel great. I had almost 4 liters of fat removed...so quite a lot! I also think that the fact that Dr. Robey is a licensed cosmetic surgeon has a lot to do with her skill. She's not a dermatologist or general practitioner...she actually went to school and trained to do this. Final results will take 6-9 months so I'm excited to see what my outcome is. For now I am trying to eat healthier and be conscious of my day to day decisions so as not to find myself in such a sad state again!!

Thanks, I have this set for the 30th of March and a cruise in May. I am scared to death that I wont be cruise ready but I like you am tired of the way I look and feel because of it. I was glad to hear you say you could really see some results and the pain isn't terrible. Teresa

of the chin? It looks so nice, are you happy?
March 13, 2015
No 3.8 was from my whole body. I wasn't told what came from my chin. Thanks for the compliment:) I'm very happy. I have some numbness and a little sore lump but other than that its going good. I wear my head gear at night it get pretty hard to commit to having it on during the day.
