After waiting over ten years to build the courage...
After waiting over ten years to build the courage and justify spending the money, I made an appointment with Dr. Zollman, after spending a good amount of time on the phone with Amy (she answered every question I asked). My concerns were being almost 40 years old, the mother to teen age boys and making such a drastic change to my appearance. I expressed my concerns and they were met with compassion and understanding. I never felt pressure, in fact, when I left my consultation I was advised to think about it and call the office if I wanted to move forward with a breast augmentation. Linda spent a very long time listening to me, relating to me and answering every question I had. I want to add that when Dr. Zollman did come into the room, he was a complete gentleman and also showed the same compassion and understanding that both Linda and Amy had shown me. I welcomed their input and suggestions and in fact Dr. Zollman reassured me that there was nothing wrong with me the way I was at that moment in time, but what was important was how I felt about myself.
I did call back and schedule my surgery (less than two weeks after my consultation). The day of my procedure Dr Zollman came into my hospital room and asked me if I had any concerns or questions, which made me feel like he was very interested in my feelings. I asked him to error on the side of smaller and I believe that is exactly what he did. He also took the time to address and speak with my husband and my mother who were there during my procedure.
At my one week follow up both Linda and Dr. Zollman were very involved in making sure I was following instructions to ensure I continued to heal at the right pace. They again answered all my questions and concerns. I did need to call the office between my one week post op and one month post op appointment and again, Amy spent over 10 minutes on the phone with me answering my questions.
Never at any time did I feel second rate or like just a paycheck to Dr. Zollman. I feel terrible for all the people who have posted bad experiences. I have to say that mine was positive in every aspect. The pain following surgery was expected as I was well informed from the beginning. I did not have unrealistic expectations and I was not disappointed. I also felt that Dr. Zollman and Linda were genuinely interested in knowing if I was happy.
My body has significantly changed, I went from a B cup to a D cup. I went from being embarrassed to wear a bathing suit to being very excited to shop for bathing suits. I still wake up sometimes and have forgotten I've has this done and smile once I remember. I do believe that I have regained some of my self confidence that I had lost after having children. I feel better about myself. I do believe that how you feel about your self has siginificant impact on your life. You owe it to yourself to be happy and as silly as it seems to some, correcting a problem area on your body can really change your life and make you a happier and healthier person.
If you walk away with anything from reading this review, it's that if you are considering have a procedure done to your body, it's worth your time to go and speak with Dr. Zollman and his staff.
