I have been to a few plastic surgeons offices in Indianapolis over the last 10 years. I found the price for the Dot Laser to be much lower (it was offered on a Christmas special) and so I took my chances on a new experience with Dr. Chernoff's office. This office is a busy one, but a few of the staff members stand out as exceptional. The main person that comes to mind is Julie, Dr. Chernoff's nurse practitioner who is one of the most genuine person I have had the fortune to meet. She is outstanding in both what she does and is amazingly knowledgeable. I had a LOT of concerns about this procedure (after reading all of the horror stories on Real Self) during my consultation, but Julie patiently answered each concern until I felt comfortable with the procedure.
At a later time, I came back and had the Dot procedure performed by Dr. Chernoff who used a variety of settings between low and moderate between my face, neck, and chest. He was attentive to any pain I felt and adjusted the settings as needed. I was quite surprised at how little pain I felt after the procedure and how quickly I healed. I had the procedure performed on a Wed evening, and had taken Thursday, Friday off so that I would have a good 4 days off. My face did not peel at all - I believe it received the less intense treatment, but my neck & chest did peel some during the 3rd and 4th day. At 6 weeks, my chest looks 1000 times better - not as much sun damage spots and actually makes me happy to look at it. I did not think my face received much, so I chose to have an additional treatment several months later by Julie. Julie was FANTANSTIC - I did not feel a thing. On my second treatment (which was moderate), I did get more red and peel from days 3 to 6 but this was not bothersome or noticeable by anyone but myself. I am looking at myself this morning as I get dress and I cannot believe how much younger I look. I had sagging smile line and vertical lines around my lips and they are not nearly as noticeable. I would caution anyone thinking about any facial treatment to only seek treatment from reputable Plastic Surgeons offices and not cosmetic centers where technicians are performing the procedures.
