Each time my Doc drained me, afterward it seems I would feel everything....MR, extreme soreness, etc. I am thinking the fluid acts like a cushion. Hope you don't refill ... Keep an eye on it and if you see the symptoms call to go back in ASAP. I was told of a 125 lb. lady who had to be drained 10 times before it stopped! Lets pray that's not gonna be us!

Dee2009!! .....YES! I feel worst now that my first week! that does not even make sense!! Oh I hope I dont have to drain 10 more times!! I hope once more and thats it or as long as I have numbness !!! I did ask the Dr when I could return to the Gym and he said once the seroma has cleared up :( I already see more seroma creeping in :( I dont know weather to wait and let it build up or get done ASAP..... does it matter??

On the right side where they removed my drain the insicion split to the point where I could put my pinky in the gap and the insicion moved up high, way high its not even pulled down tight, but she noticed it as I was healing as well as myself, it bothers me because if I wear a swim suit I have to pull the right side up higher so that it's not noticed or wear a pair of shorts, but the gap is long she is going to revise it make the insicion longer and pull it down tighter to even it out with the left and middle part, so I will just be happy when it is all done, I'm going to call her Monday to try and get in earlier, waiting a month for that then healing for another 2 weeks is just not okay with me considering I got my tummy tuck at the end of march

Joyce - Ahh okay! got it! that kind of sucks, but I think you look great! good luck! will that be local or general anesthesia??? are they going to charge anything??

Hi dreamer00. How could you tell that you have is a seroma?? I have an area on my left side that is still tender at 10 weeks and its puffy. I just don't feel that it is a dog ear. Is that similar to what you are experiencing?

Hi crystal .... Well I tap above my belly button and it has a ripple effect just like a water bed !! And of course it's swollen and puffy !!!! Make an appointment with your dr !

Hi Dreamer00..I am 4 weeks PO and have/had a seroma. It developed 10 days after drains were removed and it didn't surprise me because my drain outputs were on the higher end when drains were removed. My belly felt super tight and after showering I put my hands on each side of my belly and pushed. The fluid moved from one side to the other. Anyway got to PS and he looked at my belly and immediately confirmed seroma and drained it. Took off 180cc fluid first time. He inserted the needle/syringe at just the right place (right lower belly) and made three painless 60cc fluid removals. Then one week later, drained another 90cc - a good sign the body is learning to re-absorb the fluid. This time he drained from under the belly button with two removals..one 60cc and one 30cc. I did feel a little pinch this go-round but it was quick. So I go for my regular appt this Tuesday. Don't really feel any fluid accumulation but we will see then. I did develop a UTI last week but got antibiotic to take care of that. Don't think that's uncommon post surgery either. Just things we have to deal with. You'll be fine..you are probably still numb somewhat in the belly anyway. Good let and keep us posted! (BTW..I love Indianapolis!)
