Finally after 4 years of research I am scheduled...

Finally after 4 years of research I am scheduled for Tummy Tuck w Floating Belly Button and Lipo! on May 8th !!!! I am 40 years old with two beautiful children ages 4 & 19, never gained much weight with both but having the 4 year old a little later in life had a really hard time getting my flat tummy to return, even after working with a personal trainer. I am basket case of nerves and excitement !! I think 24 / 7 about about this! even at work I am day dreaming and my focus is zero!! This web site has to be the most addicting !!! the same as other ladies have said there hubbys are tried of looking at boobs & tummys well mine also! :) but he is supportive and patience ! I think my motivation is to be as real possible for the first 2 months, I do remember my c-section and after the first few weeks stayed away from mirrors as much as possible :) my fear is "Swelling" I will return to work after 11 days and hope to get back into my work clothes!!

Well I did it, I am sooo relived its done! and I feel amazing !! I cant belive how I feel really no pain! just 1 Vicdon walking almost straight, I would guess this is to not having to have any MR but Lipo is sore! not much appetite drinking plenty of water. Dr and staff were all angles , I could not have asked more! Hubby also has DONE everything!! I cried the whole ride in the car to the appointment I was a basket case I just couldn't stop, even when I checked in I was crying! I was so scared but the nurse got right on it and started IV and gave me some "magic mixture" of something that calmed me down:) having trouble sleeping..... oh well! I will try and upload some pics tomorrow , Nite! ooo

So post op day 1, this morning i was very sore...
so post op day 1, this morning i was very sore from the Lipo, very sliff! didn't get much sleep last night I am sleeping in the bed which is okay I just wanted to curl up in ball and couldn't :) hard just laying on your back, TT area some pain but not terrible !! walking around good and taking a shower shortly. taking 1 pain med every 4 hours, drinking plenty of water and craving egg fried rice!! have not yet looked at tummy!!

Thanks! I think its been pretty good,a few little up & Downs!! really not trying to look in the mirror or look at it!! swelling not to bad nor the pain its the DRAINS!!! it feels like a hot poker inside its all good until you move the wrong way!! counting the days to get them OUT!! also cant wait to sleep on my side :) still sleeping pretty good on my back just really stiff in the morning!! so you are ..... 4 weeks to go??

It's good to hear that the pain isn't unbearable! In exactly a month I'll be going through it myself so it's great to hear all of the stories. I appreciate you sharing yours!

Yea I know I felt better not looking at my scar I'm on week 6 and I still hate to look at it rather have it covered then look at my belly, but things will be better, takes time to heal, your body just went through alot of work, another TT person told me, made me feel better, I got days I got post op depression she helped me through it, just try not to think about it, healing takes time, again I'm 6 weeks I had TT with MR and lipo, and some days I still have to take muscle relaxers because my body says no after doing something

It's crazy out emotionally bodies !! I have cried and laughed and smiled since Friday !! Up and down! I am trying to stay positive and not expect a Miracle over night !! I guess are things are getting better I itch all over :)

OMG I itched also!!! my face it drove me nuts!! actually most of my body is itching.... tomorrow is Dr visit excited !!
how long was it before you slept on your side? i just want to curl up in a little ball again i hate sleeping on my back it makes it so stiff!!

Happy healing, yea the drain is by far the worst but it isn't be long before there out, you will be great , I would have done a full TT but didn't want a new belly button I was very picky, great work done

Thanks ! I hope maybe Thursday I wil get it out! Yeah I wanted to keep my belly button! The first I asked when I woke up was" did I get to keep my bbutton' :)

I had a horrible time with compression garments, until I found spanx. I would wait until you are about 2 weeks. I would also suggest purchasing in store I bought mine from Kohls. It was $60, but it was well worth it. Good luck to you and heal well.

I went with the assets open mid bust mid thigh body shaper. I no some people don't like the fuller body ones, but I found that there is no irritation to the incision with it. I bought mine from Kohls in Greenwood. They are difficult to get into, but don't buy too loose. They won't fit well at times your swelling is minimal! Good luck and have fun shopping!
