Have you tried Juvederm filler around the edge of your upper lip...that could help.
I have, but not enough and I wanted a more permanent solution! Thx!

Worth it at 3.5 months

While the bottom picture looks fairly good, I still wouldn't do it again. It was a lot to go through! The new pics were sent by the doctor's office.

you sound like a bitter person with unrealistic expectations. You went back to the same surgeon that did your first surgery and then changed your mind. scaring people on realself with pictures of what you look like directly after a procedure and claiming you are just writing the review because you don't like your surgeons office policies which you must have known about since you already had surgery there once before? I have investigated dermabrasion and for some people it takes more than one procedure because of the damage from sun or smoking. Your post just sounds bitter and not because of your surgeons abilities but because you waited to long to start taking care of your own skin. Of course your skin would be bloody after the procedure, its FACIAL RESURFACING for gosh sakes. Your results are amazing for the amount of damage you had.
Thanks for your input Julie! Just didn't think the 10% should be on the full amount. People can change their minds. I prayed about it and my answer was to not be so vain. That's why I cancelled. I'm also going to cancel my DOT laser. Not doing anymore procedures with considerable down time. I never was a sun worshipper and never smoked. The lines must have been inherited. I was bitter but not anymore. Have a nice day!
sorry you had to bear the rant from another poster. It's as it is disappointing to not get desired results from surgery and on top of them you can't even vent out your frustration!! All the best.
Thx for ur kind words! I appreciate them. Hope u had a great Memorial Day!
No problem. Can you tell me how soon you fully recovered from the procedure?
Took 6 mo for pinkness to fully go away!
so, after six months you had totally normal appearance? is there any difference in the skin tone of the treated area from the rest of your face?
Yes, it was totally normal. Except it still had wrinkles above close to nose and below close to mouth. If it had been closer to those areas, I would have been satisfied. I'll try to add a pic.
results look too good even

My orginal motivation was to rid myself of the lines around my mouth. I had done fillers before but never really liked the outcome. I wasn't going to give a bad review originally but my new motivation is I went back to this same Doctor thinking I wanted a face lift and signed up. Today, three days later, I called to cancel and it will cost me $1400 to cancel!!! Not right!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I hope you find support in the community.

Yikes...I didn't realize dermabrasion left one so bloody afterwards. I've had a full laser treatment and while extremely red...never looked bloody. Laser didn't help those lines above my mouth either. Once the redness and all the swelling went away (about 6 months) I was right back where I started. It looked great around 4 months post treatment, when I was still slightly pink & swollen. I was so disappointed after that when it all went away. I actually only got about a month (or two) of looking good after spending $2000, so definitely not worth it. That said, I had my laser done like 25 years ago, and I understand that since then, laser has gotten much better and is greatly improved. So you might want to consider that option. I think your doctor not refunding your money is ridiculous. Three days later and no refund? I'd keep at it in trying to get your money back. I can see paying a small fee for cancelling, like $50-100, but the full $1400 deposit is just not right. I certainly would never go back to that doc for anything.
I agree about the money and really don't know why I went back there! I have an appointment for Dot laser at another PS office May 16. I hope that will do the trick. I just finished a series of Microneedling at a Medspa with no noticeable results! Maybe I should just give up! Thx for your comment!
If the dot laser works for you, let me know. Dealing with the same problem you are. Would love to get rid of my lip lines...or at least just improve them a bit. I will do the same if I find something that works.
Sure will! I'm hoping for a good outcome! I'll post pics.
I cancelled the DOT laser. Tuesday I'm having a Vampire facial plus some filler. I'll let u know!
Thank you dabar...would really appreciate it. :-) Good luck!
Perhaps Juvederm around the edge of the lips might help with the lip lines?
I lookjust like you and I had surgery three weeks ago. I am red from my nose down to my chin and I don't know how long this redness will last. I can't even go outside or go on an errand. I had no idea that recovery would take months maybe. I need encouragement
I had no idea either! And then for it not to get all the area that I was concerned about was frustrating! All for nothing! Sorry I can't give encouragement!
yes, they are not very upfront before the procedure!! it happens so many times...don't worry...karma has it's way to get back to anyone who misguide you like that
We can always hope! Thx!
Cancellation fees are standard practice for any business. The paperwork you signed probably spelled out the cancellation policy. You shouldn't have "signed up" if you weren't ready. Not the doctor's fault.
Just thought $1400 was excessive!
Patients sign everything mostly..still there is a good will factor ...and a good doctor won't cause more distress to an already unhappy patient. I have seen many experienced surgeons refund all monies if patient becomes unhappy!! when someone hasn't taken your treatment why charge them so much? maybe you guys need to be more sympathetic with your patients?
I have more wrinkles on my chin and above lips than I had before Facelift. A big waste of money and time stay away
