Quick Update

I love my boobs.

I've never felt comfortable with my body (far from perfect), but I really love it now. I wear bikinis, off the shoulder tops, cute bras / lingerie. I feel sexy.

While I still feel vain about my procedure, I also see how much it has helped my confidence and overall mental health.

As for boobie specifics, I feel as though they have evened out pretty well. The left still gives me trouble from time to time; some intermittent pain, but it's gotten better and I hope it continues to do so, as everything continues to heal.

Received a trial of biocorneum scar serum, and it is the best thing I've found for scars! I tried a serum from my PS and silicone scar strips. While the silicone strips really helped flatten my scars, the serum has taken my results one step farther. Great product!

Almost 3 Months out!

I haven't posted in a while because my mind is finally able to focus on something other than boobs! My left continues to have a little pain on the inferior - medical aspect, and I can still feel the implant slide around (feels like fluid behind it). I've talked to my PS about my concerns, and she said we can either give it more time to heal, or do an ultrasound to see if there really is any fluid and possibly remove it. That option scares me a bit, because it adds the possibility of infection when she inserts a needle to remove fluid. Ugh. So, I'm a little frustrated and just trying to give myself time to heal. She told me to start wearing a bra to bed again, and to stick with a tight sports bra for work (I do a lot of lifting with patients). Other that, I do love my new chest! My nipples aren't in line, but I'm hoping that changes as they heal (she said up to 6 months; I go back in July). BUT its nice to finally fill out a bra, and shirt! I wear silicone scar strips when I think about it, and my scars look good; flat and smooth.

7 weeks post

Went to Jamaica with my hubby for our anniversary. Had a wonderful time and felt so comfortable in my bathing suits / clothes! I really feel like they've come such a long way, and I have gained so much confidence. Scar care is going well, but to be honest, I often forget to massage or put on the scar strips.. I'm still frustrated with my left side. My right implant is tight to my body and feels like my own. My left still has occasional pain along the bottom and feels like there is fluid in the implant pocket. It also has some rippling along the medial aspect. My PS didn't seem too concerned about it. In the beginning, I assumed the fluid would go away with time but now that I'm 7 week out, it's concerning me more and more. I've posted a question to the real self docs (my PS is also on here) to see what they think. I also have a flex deformity, which I know is normal, but still frustrating.
