WORTH IT$3,000
After much deliberation and months of research I decided on a lateral brow lift (also called temporal brow lift) instead of blepharoplasty, to lift my sagging eyelids. Doctor recommended both procedures be done at once. But I've chosen to do the more conservative single procedure for now, and wait several months to determine if a blepharoplasty is still needed. I'm excited and a little nervous, my surgery is in just a few days. It's my birthday gift to myself. I turn 44 in two weeks. My mother, aunts, and grandmother all had the same sagging eyelids and eventually had blepharoplasty done.

2 days pre
Starting my bromelain today.
Dr. has me preparing for surgery three days prior, beginning today. I have to shower twice daily with a surgical antibacterial wash. I also have to use a prescription strength antibiotic ointment. And I have begun taking my Bromaline supplement which was provided by my doctors office to help me prepare in advance and prevent or minimize bruising. I'm a little bit nervous. My biggest fears are asymmetry and over correction. I've been taking 1000mg vitamin C and 30mg zinc as well, both of which help with wound healing. I'm trying to make sure I get all my hardest workouts in and plenty of rest prior to surgery date because I'm told I can't exercise for a few weeks after.

Thank you so much! I spent a couple years really investigating. It was very hard to make a decision but I believe I'm on the right track. The testimonies of people like you helped me so much in deciding. Hope to have great updates to post soon!

Day of treatment
Surgery just completed!
I just returned from temporal brow lift Surgery and wow! First off, Dr. Hardesty and his assistant were great. I was made to feel very comfortable and at ease. I used one Valium in preparation for procedure and was relaxed yet alert . The pain control was managed with local injections and although I felt tugging and pulling I was pain free. The procedure itself was fairly quick, approximately an hour and a half. I immediately had dramatic forehead swelling after the procedure was complete and I had to laugh at myself with my temporarily misshapen forehead. Very rapidly swelling began to move downward to upper eyelids and then cheeks so that by the time I left the doctor's I looked significantly different than immediately after. The short drive home Was enough time to begin developing a black eye. I expect to look like Frankenstein by tonight! However, I did have a chance to see myself immediately after suturing and I must say I was pleased with the lift of my upper eyelids and I was especially impressed with how well hidden my incisions are. I expect that eventually no One will ever notice them. I will be taking my first Percocet shortly; as of right now I have no pain, but doctor said local
Will wear off in a few hours so I'll try to head it off with my take home prescription soon. I'm also taking bromelain and arnica for bruising, vitamin c and zinc for wound healing and icing every half hour for swelling for the first 48 hours.

Doing your research and ask lots of questions! I took forever to make a decision but I wanted to feel confident I really understood al the poetical risks. From what I know, Botox has a good, long standing reputation for being pretty safe and successful at treating migraines. Good luck to you!
